Things are not going well on the pitch it's the managers job. No need for EM to interfere with the managers job surely.
But EM does interfere with the managers job.
The Zoom meeting at the start of the season went down like a lead balloon.
He told the players they had too many days off ! Now that is definitely down to the manager the training schedule.
Sabri was in the meeting sat there like a teacher straight out of Uni and the headteacher delivering a bollocking.
What I cant understand about this now infamous zoom meeting is after it happened why the narrative was that the players had no respect for their manager, owner, club etc etc. If you're an employee and there's a major f**k up so bad that your boss's boss turns up and hands out the bollocking of a lifetime, why are you suprised? You've just cost the guy millions of pounds. Does he not have a right to go over middle management's heads and let his employees know that? And why does that equate to Sabri being undermined? Should Sabri not have used that meeting to ramp up the levels and demand more?
The players were fully deserving of a kick up the arse by the bloke that pays them handsomely. It sounds to me like they weren't man enough to take it. And what did they expect, an arm around their shoulder and pat on the back?
