No more excuses for Chris now he simply must start delivering results starting with Cardiff.

Six more games until the next international break if there is no improvement then I would imagine he'll be gone.

I've been told he has until December. Again if true it give him time now he had players. Allegedly this will only change if we become cut off in the bottom 3. The exact words I were given was 'a brief that Chris it the right man to turn it around although another candidate is ready should it not work'.

Don't know how true but it sounds like the people up top are taking stability seriously.

And I say you can't say fairer than that.  He now has 'his' players, 10 of them covering 'most' (but not all) positions bar an out and out striker.  That should be enough attacking options to pull away from the bottom three after a decent recruitment window (in the end.).  If we can move up the table and use the January window to bring in a specialist striker to pursue an outside run at the top 6, I'd be happy to see Forest building window on window with their transfer business as evidence we're 'serious' (about promotion ;) about 'Plan B.'

The biggest problem with Hughton was the timing of his arrival.  The pre-season and recruitment had been all done and the team crashed before he arrived.  Sabri left a team with shattered confidence.  Thus last year become a salvage operation.  Following another Summer of disruption to the pre-season and slow recruitment, Forest have got off to a poor start.  

For me, the season begins at Cardiff.  He's got ten players and a mini-pre-season with the International Break to grab the squad by the scruff of the neck.  Nothing would please me more than Forest rhubarbing Cardiff.  But that will be a tough game.  And I expect Forest to grind out some results until we hit mid-table then the football may become less cautious.

I've always felt with any manager.  Give them their own players.  And some time.  Hughton wanted a smaller squad.  He's got one. 

December sounds about right.  If it's not working then and Forest are adrift in the bottom 3 then the inevitable comes for any manager.  It is what it is.  If Forest can actually pull away from this 'crisis management' that we've had for nearly a season and achieve escape velocity then we can start sticking our chests out.

Hopefully, a couple of wins puts Forest mid-table and the 'mind set' can change from one of attrition to cautious optimism.

Completely agree with all of this! I hope it all starts to click for CH now. Will be great for us and a reward for the owners being patient and pulling the plug. In my mind, we have to give CH a fair crackpot the Whip.
