I think all the arguments come down to :

Are you a selfish git who wants Forest to stay small and at the City Ground ?

or

Do you want Forest to become a big club who are regulars in Europe ?


And there is the choice.  Stay where we are and be small OR new stadium and become a top level club.

You missed an option, which is..........

Have a nice big shiny stadium with half empty seats as the club wallows in the Championship basement.

If the heirarchy take that attitude nothing will get done.

You just do not plan for failure

But we should plan for failure because it is a realistic option.

In military terms not planning for failure will get you killed.

Lets get this straight, moving into a brand new shiny 50,000 seater stadium guarantees us absolutely nothing. It may increase our chances of becoming more successful but that is as far as it goes.
