I think I’d prefer this if we can get a decent loan fee than cash a hefty loss. Could suit his play more and get in the European shop window, whether he comes back or not. Provided we don’t have a liquidity problem with spending on a replacement which I would expect we wouldn’t.
Though in an ideal world we buy quality midfielders in the summer to support him and play to his strengths.
