We will be lucky to get 7-8 million for Lolley and if we have to sell Carvalho now, no one will give us more then 4 million topped up with some good add ons ...

I hope you will get off of Carv's back a little now...…….he is class and can be an outstanding player, when played correctly.

If you played Messi at left back, he would be useless too.

In fairness I think it is widely accepted that much of his price was based on potential, which we had seen on occasion but not consistently either in a game or in a run of games. However, Saturday gave us a taste of what we hoped for in a game. If he had 15 or 16 games like that in a year with 15 or 16 OK (6 or 7 out of 10) games and the rest a bit ropey, then he will be worth every penny and more.  

I love Carvalho, but if he were playing like that most weeks we would have been top of the league all season.  If he can add some consistency he will be worth more than we paid for him, no doubt.

One day he will be the heart of a top team, I just hope it is us.
