Ok, you win, i’ll partially engage.
On Saturday he got caught under the ball three times, these weren’t cases of Leeds just playing into the channels, Joe misjudged them.
Also, we are a shambles defending set pieces. Muric is the scapegoat here prima facie but the fact is that if Joe were as good as is being lauded then we wouldn’t. There were two instances that immediately spring to mind from the Leeds game alone. One where he pulled out of a header in the six yard box which caught Bamford unawares and secondly where he completely air shot under no pressure.
He’s a decent defender, nothing more or less.
My view is subjective, just like everyone else’s, no one is necessarily right or wrong despite assertions by some to the contrary.
You’ll appreciate that I spent most of last Summer in the very small minority in relation to Brereton and that appears to have played pretty much as anticipated.
