Expecting that to hot up soon, as they have to do all their dealings by 2nd week in August (same deadline of window closing as Premier League I think)
I notice clubs in Premier League are already wondering why they voted to bring it forward, especially in a World Cup year. Talk about stating the obvious and I knew it would cause issues
We have World cup and Euros every 2 years so will always cause problems. In fact the next world cup with a winter schedule, will cause problems for years.
Sure Premier league clubs will be complaining more when all the Euro big clubs can sniff around their players till the end of August and therefore still have unsettled squads.
Really not sure what they were trying to achieve bringing the transfer window early. If they wanted to stop Transfer fees inflating , then instead of putting in short windows, and deadlines, go back to the old system, and transfers all year round (apart from a couple of months end of a season)
Simples!
