He hasn't been in full training since then. Fitness and match fitness are very different things. Pros and ex pros talk about the initial adrenalin fuelled comebacks being followed by a dip. Generally, from what I have read and heard 4-6 matches is the norm to get into a good rhythm . Carvhalho has probably played less than that due to being in and out of the team-quite rightly on the whole.
I am just preaching a bit of patience I guess as I assume we all want to see the level of performance he showed vs Boro (h) or QPR ((A) on a more consistent basis.
