I know I'm probably going out on a limb a bit here, especially on current form And the demand for players to be dropped after one or two indifferent games or lauded after a couple of decent ones, but I still believe Carvalho will be worth more than we paid for him. He is undoubtedly suffering at present through his lack of pre season and subsequent game time. At Swansea in his first start back he was outstanding, but has struggled to bit those heights since. However, I am convinced his talent, allied to his work rate will shine through.In the meantime Silva has settled down - to a point- and is keeping the shirt warm until Carvalho find's his mojo. He will certainly have a part to play. I really hope so anyway.

I think a lot of people hope so chap, but I also think a lot are simply blinded by the price tag & glamour which came with his signing.

Genuine question, how does he come good when he's not suited to the system or league?

Many have said "we should build a side around him". We clearly aren't going to do that, and if that's what he needs to succeed here he's at the wrong club.

If you see him working here I'd be genuinely interested to know how coz, even if Silva were to get injured, I can't see him being anything more than a sub under mouch. I think Ameobi, and Semedo if fit, will get the nod over Carva because Mouch seems to prefer more physical players.

Maybe I'm wrong though?
