I think a new Main Stand which is world class will suffice for now. On and off the field it will be a huge stride forwards for Nottingham Forest.
35k (as an interim capacity) is hardly a disaster and any promotion to the Premier will just about soak that up. It will be more than adequate for life in the Championship should we not get promoted and cover the overflow for if we do. At least the ground will be packed if current business momentum is sustained. There's room to catch Leeds, Norwich, Derby, (Leicester?) and Sheff Utd/Wednesday or reach parity with them on attendances. Certainly the business momentum seems to be with Forest. 29k sell outs when the club has been 'static' from a business point of view since its exit from the Premier is quite remarkable. It does show that the new Regime really do know what they're doing...and that Forest really are a 'sleeping giant.' I cast one eye over to what's been done with Leicester and what Wilder done to get Sheff Utd promoted and in the Premier sitting (currently) quite pretty and all I think?
That can be Forest. Quite easily with the new ownership. They're not short of ambition.
The Bidgford Stand. It will require some innovation thinking and that can be addressed later.
The rest of the ground will be tidied up as well..?
So the 'New City Ground' will get a big lift with the new Peter Taylor Stand and some general tidying up eg. Concourse etc.
Long overdue. The old girl has been left to rot before this regime. Dirt, grime and faded paint. It looked out of date, tired and unloved. But it always had the romance and magic as you walk across the bridge...and peer into the ground.
A bit crazy when you think about the money that has been squandered on player's wages over the last 20 years. Could probably have a bought a brand new ground.
We just have to look at Olympiakos (which is stunning and shows what success and the new regime will bring...) which augers well for the kind of ground Forest will have.
