The issue for me is - my grandsons. We have seats in the BC Upper & so no issue with the view at home games.
But away games are a nightmare - they just cannot see the game. And some fellow ( so called ) fans are a bloody nightmare.

There really is no need to suffer at away games.

The fact is if you have paid for a seat your are fully entitled to sit down; then there is the fact that standing in a designated seating area is illegal and could result in the Club losing their safety certificate.

You need to point this out to the nearest Steward; if the Steward does not want to know, take an image of him and ask to speak to the senior steward on duty regarding a Health and Safety issue.

When he turns up tell him you want to sit down but cannot because everyone around you is standing and point out the legal side of things; he is then faced with the problem of getting everyone to sit down or to find you a seat, they usually opt for the latter in my experience.

If the Senior Steward attempts to ignore you take an image of him and tell him you will be lodging a formal complaint to the relevant authority, mentioning that no assistance was offered from the Stewards and that you will be sending a copy to the Club.

I have come across plenty of Stewards who start off being awkward but they soon relent if you go about it the right way

Great! Must remember to ask the nearest steward to tell the few hundred Forest fans to sit down so that  my grandson can see.
In theory you’re absolutely right ( it worked once for me at Brum ) - in practice it’s a nightmare.
