I would say ending the season on current points is more likely than cancelling the season.

I reckon they'll try and finish it in Aug/Sep maybe and either switch the calendar for world cup 2022 or run a shortened season.

Thing is we have no idea when/if this will get better. Not impossible we could just finish the season next year. Do we really think we'll be able to even start the new season anyway?

I think finishing the current season is preferable than making sure the new one starts in August/September whether this current season has finished or not. They will need to be pragmatic and adapt to the ongoing crisis

Much easier and fairer to create new rules for a shorter season and finish this one. The contract issue will need addressing though.
