I remember swapping scarves with an Ajax fan after the match and I had that Ajax scarf on my bedroom wall for years afterwards.

He was absolutely brilliant, he was beaten once but there was no way he was going to be beaten twice.
Fantastic atmosphere too, it was played in the Olympic Stadium if I remember well, Ajax home stadium in those days.
