Serious question Sniff - do you think EM would use one of his companies as a sponsor for a bit of extra revenue? Or anything other companies in Greece? Or are we definitely looking externally?

Or are we definitely looking externally? It crossed my mind that our new sponsor might be Shopflix which is a massive online electrical retailer that belongs to Miltiadis. Capital Maritime & Trading Corp also springs to mind which belongs to Evangelos. It crossed my mind but to be honest I don't know.

But what advantage would sponsoring a football team be to a Martitime shipping business? Very little I'd say, it's not like your average football fan uses such a company. And it's not as if we need an 'in house' company to sponsor us to artificially raise the income. We're a million miles away from hitting any ceiling with regard to ffp.
I just hope it's not a betting company.

We're a million miles away from hitting any ceiling with regard to ffp. Oh yeah, no advantage to the company at all. Just pondering on whether EM would see it as a way of injecting more cash to circumvent FFP. No idea if it's possible or even worthwhile, just pondering. I'd rather it be an external company and - as you said - not a gambling one. Hopefully we should find out soon. I know in the grand scheme of things it's not important but to me it looks a little unprofessional that we've not got on emblazoned on our shirts yet. Presumably we'll get a sleeve sponsor too. |
