I love the city ground but I wouldn’t be adverse to moving to a new stadium - it actually makes financial sense. The emotional pull of the city ground though is too strong with so many it won’t happen.

I saw it mentioned on a number of occasions by away fans about how much they like coming to the City Ground as it is a proper old school style stadium and not a soulless bowl like so many sides have now.

We have one of the most iconic sporting locations anywhere in the UK, as well as one of the most attractive. We should never underestimate our grounds significance within the wider scheme of things.

There is scope to build over the Brian clough stand too - adding a third tier. Would look a bit weird with the limitations on the bridge cord but is possible. I know a couple of Bennoy people who have had a look at it and saw a sketch - it looked massive but a bit old fashioned - think old Trafford!

I wonder if there is a better way of segregating the away fans from ours.

We must lose up to 1000 seats each and every game to do that. It is costing the club in the region of £650,000 per season in lost revenue with the current way of segregating.

I keep thinking the ideal way is to demolish the whole thing and rebuild on the same site whilst acquiring as much of the neighbouring land as possible. Reckon we could even rotate the ground 90 degrees which would give us more space behind the Bridgford end.
Bigger but far better job in the end if it was possible, when we redo the main stand none of the other 3 will really be fit for purpose.

Compulsory purchase of the houses and do it stand by stand. I don't think it needs rotating.

The longer we stay in the prem, i think the councils will quickly realise the huge benefits of what a bigger and modern City Ground will do for the West Bridgford and the City. 
Randell did say in that Q&A the Council own the land "at the moment" which made me wonder if we have other ideas moving forward? 

I see see a scenario where we obtain all the surrounding properties and upgrade Bridgford End. It's an awful stand which needs bulldozing. Hospitality and better concourses needed in all stands.

Where would we play? It could take years.

Actually its quicker because you wouldnt have the constraints of building across the existing structure.
Where we would play, need a season at Meadow Lane I would think, whether they would agree to that who knows.
The whole planning process would have to start again from scratch though. Not saying it’s feasible now just if someone had the vision 10 years ago it would have been a better outcome.

It needs some imaginative planning and resources. I designed refrigeration and air conditioning systems many years ago, with retail being the biggest customer. It would take 12-16 weeks to build a supermarket, giving us that time to design, build manufacture the equipment. Over the years, this time got shorter and shorter. Tesco mini stores and petrol stations 2 weeks with the build taking place off-site and then the pieces delivered. Built in a couple of days, ready for fit-out. Aldi's new stores got even shorter, and every time it was because innovation was used. 3D printing of concrete structures is not new anymore. I know a football stadium is bigger, but with vision planning, I'm sure it can be done.
