Plenty season left yet. Watson will get considerable game time.

Gueddy been MOM both games so far.

He's been our best player by far.

   Spot on.

I guess he really does love Forest, our Geddy!  Mr. General.  Two MOM performances speak for themselves.  I hope this continues.

BadDog, did you have a good birthday?  I hope the performance, if not the result, saw you to a 'good night.'

What were your thoughts on the match...pros and cons?  If you could pick a couple of players to improve Forest by Transfer Deadline day to win that game last night who do you go for?

I enjoyed it.  This team produced a blistering performance in only their 2nd Championship game together.  But I want Forest to batter Reading to get some points on the board.  Don't want Tony's Boro' running away with it in the early games...

Felt we could have put Watson on last night to see the game out and push Geddy into the ACM.

...and bring on Jack and push Os' forwards.

See the game out rather than chase it.

Looking back, that was the thing to do...?

Yeah agreed that’s the obvious sub defending a lead. Guess it depends on gueddy’s legs too! Definitely looked worse after making changes

Yes I agree with that. I thought a little game management was required. We started to look tired after 80 mins, I thought let's bring Watson on and maybe Dawson for 3 at the back. Just ride the game out. But hindsight hey. Overall I'm so pleased with the performance, a team competing with the best in the league both games, which you could argue we should have 6 points on the board. Let's give reading a spanking. COYR

Yes mate was a good day, and got a nice surprise watch after the match so all in all bar the last min goal, nice day.

Am really really pissed off about the save. It could have been one of those 'I was there' moments that I could have shared with my Grandkids when I'm 90.

"I was there when we had a player who ran from his penalty area, shot and found the top corner from 60 yards"

Forest fans have always shown Geddy lots of love. To me that's why he has come back and one reason why he's playing so well.

He's been to a few clubs but he seems to have the greatest affinity with Forest. That has to help him play better, and hopefully we'll see the benefit this season.

The thing is, are there any Forest fans here who are really surprised by Geddy's recent standout performances? We've seen similar stuff before. The biggest surprise for me is that he hasnt really delivered whilst in the premiership.

He's 32 now. Apparently looks after himself so could it be that we'll get two or three season of the very best of him. I hope he can maintain this level. It takes the pressure off the Portugese boys by us not being reliant on them to light up the team.

Yes, I'm very surprised about Geddy's recent standout performances. He was good before when he was at Forest but not as good as he's been these two recent games. I really thought that we would have to buy Vukcevic to get hold of this kind of quality. I'm of course delighted that we had him all along and long may it continue. Fingers crossed!

Good before but in a poor team GR.

Opposition teams are going to be watching and hearing about him and make a plan. Its at those moments, someone else in the team has to step up and perform. We then start getting to the point where the opposition have too much to cope with. On the other hand, if only one man performs then he can be nullified. Internesting times ahead indeed and I think we will see many teams coming to the CG with the intent of stopping us playing.

WBA came to nullify Forest. They didn't succeed. Got battered. Fortunate to get a point in the last 3 minutes.

City (Forest played like the home team in the 2nd half...) and WBA were set up to restrict Forest. I'm sure other teams will 'try' that.

Eg. Bruce's Villa will soak up the pressure then sucker punch nick a goal from a long ball counter.

That's when we find out how good this Forest team is. So far, Forest have seemed vulnerable to a long ball or set pieces or quick switching fullback crossing.

I'm interested to see if Aitor's coaching and the new defensive signings can deal with those early issues.
