Unlike Grabban, he can take a penalty? A good variety of goals (sweetly taken and two were headers...and forum comments suggest Grabban isn't as keen to use his head ie jump for a ball), he's not injured (give it time, though...*looks up at the Footballing Gods...) and our 'Parent' club helping us out. What's not to like? (One beauty, was a side foot flick past the keeper. Seems composed to me with his finishes...and yes, three were penalties. All different. Has a knack of being in the right place at the right time.)

I'd like to see him play. I'm always excited to hear of Forest singing new players. But the proof is always in the pudding (let's hope he's not a pudding...)

If you offered me him and Gestede in the absence of 'nothing' I'd take it. Let's get them in, Karanka Koached and contributing to League Wins.

We've been linked with other targets, for whatever reason we either can't or won't make them happen. This guy might not be the only arrival today anyway - and that's presuming he does arrive.

I didn't see anything in his tweet that suggested he'd thanked Forest or the Academy for his development.  He was given the chance by Warburton and Aitor and he didn't pull up that many trees.

His tweet was all about wanting to play for Blackburn.  He's no longer our player.

I prefer Cash's attitude on and off the pitch.  Cash has done more than Bre' for Forest this season.

...and I guess Aitor wants players who want to play for Forest...not sulking in the stands if they don't get picked.

Decent scoring record, including 17 in 64 for the Iranian national team.

Years Team Apps (Gls)
2007–2012 Saipa 123 (55)
2012–2013 Persepolis 31 (8)
2013–2014 Tractor Sazi 28 (14)
2014–2015 Osasuna 16 (0)
2015–2017 Panionios 41 (13)
2017– Olympiacos 34 (18)

Decent record.  He's scored goals wherever he's been bar Osasuna.  18 goals for Olympiacos is decent.  I'd take that bet.

Forest are stretched in the RB, CM and Striker positions already.  Be good to get loan cover and competition in.

Gerrimin

Looks robust, neat and tidy and a bit of a poacher. Similar goal reel to Grabbans last year- almost identical

some people on twitter disputing the claim about him not travelling with his team.

its hilarious. Paul taylor obviously lifted the article pretending he knew about it last night yet didn't post it until 11:40 today.

I have been told that he WAS on the plane that flew back to Greece.

Doesn't mean that it's not happening though.

I am hearing he got on plane with a Parachute, and when the Seat Belt lights went off, he ran to the toilet and no one has seen him since.

Make of that what you will :)

For what it's worth, having seen him play a few times, I like the guy and I think he'd do a good job for us.

He's two footed, good in the air and his attitude is spot on, he is not a Djebour/Abdoun type of character.

Still not really anything in Greece about this deal, they are only saying what the bloke from the Guardian said.

How would he know who was on the plane? He certainly was not on it.

Ansarifard WAS on the plane, I have that confirmed from someone else who was on it.

No reason why he couldn't get another plane back today though.

If it's a deal between Oly & us, does he even need to be in the country today?
