Agree but we still have Watson and can’t get rid at least till January. Plus the Greek lad could replace Watson. As could Bridcutt and Yates

I love Bridcutt but for whatever reason Karanka doesn't seem to fancy him, unfortunately I don't think Karanka will give him many starts.

Watson is not the player he once was, his best days are gone, I think everyone can see that.

Yates, a great prospect but asking him to play week in week out at such a young age and inexperience  is a very big ask.

So, we are left with Colback and Panos. Colback in my opinion has been poor so far this season and dare I say, deserves to be dropped.

my worry isnt with the signing, it looks decent. just seems odd. 2 new midfielders where we were already stocked. cant the coaching staff improve the players they have already?

At least AK has recognised where the main issues are, any of us could have told him months ago though that Watson and colback wasn't going to win us the league yet he still went all out pairing them again.

Yates is the one I really feel sorry for. Wonder why he didn't go on loan to Rotherham? It'd have been a far better move for him than staying here.

Yes, with the amount of DM's we now have that's Yates season over probably. Unfortunate for him, but after Walker, Smith, Worrall & Brereton, perhaps not that surprising.

We're getting ahead of ourselves if we think Yates is going to be good enough for us this season. We can talk him up all we want but he's a young lad at the very start of his career.

His season isnt over. He's spent a long time away on loan already and half a season training with us, alongside good players, will be good for him. 

I expect he'll be away on loan in January and he can be assessed again in the summer.

I do not understand this signing one bit.

Me neither. I'm completely baffled and I'll say it again, I'd like to see AK actually coach some of the players we have to be better rather than seeing soemthing you dont like and sorting the problem via a replacement.

Having said that though, it was clear in the Brum game I saw that Watson is clearly struggling with his mobility. Maybe AK has decided he's done and so needs a replacement.

Bridcutt has been overlooked by AK since he came in. There must be a flaw in his game that we, the fans, don't see because AK's not the first manager to do this to him.

May just be his phsical stature, or lack thereof, that his weakness because he's nice and tidy on the ball and can play IMO.

If I were he I'd be off to a club that appreciates his talent. His performance against Newcastle merited a start at Brentford. I was staggered when he was overlooked.

Well, Bridcutt played very very well against Newcastle and guess what?

He lost the shirt.

I think it's sh1t or bust now for karanka. Knows he's under pressure. Not sure what a whole lot of difference yacob will make comparing to the likes of colback and bridcutt . Unless there are things going on behind the scenes which we don't know about

West Brom striker Salomon Rondon has heaped praise on “superb” team-mate Claudio Yacob – who is back to his best this season.
The midfielder became an instant hit with the fans after an impressive debut season the years ago, but struglled to live up to those standards over the following two campaigns.
But record-signing Rondon insists the Argentinian is an important player at the Hawthorns.
“Claudio is very good man and a superb player,” the Venezuelan told the Midlands Express and Star. “He is very important for Albion, he has been at the club for a long time and is a key player.
