I am not just talking about your reply to Northeastred or who was missing on Saturday.

You have been squad bashing for weeks. It's your opinion and you are entitled to it but it's relentless.

The lads who played Saturday did well against a average lower table side wolves, do I think they will do well against spurs.. no, no slagging off. Just think the better players are needed Friday. But the same 11 will probably start

Who are the better players? That was the question. I don't know who is missing that shouldn't be that would improve the team tomorrow?

I'd suggest saying you think the players selected on Saturday will struggle against Spurs is hardly a compliment, you're saying they're not good enough, surely? How is that not slagging them off?

You cant have it both ways chaps, we cant say Danilo is a better player based on a purple patch at the end of last season as much as we cant say that Sangare is a massive bag of dog turd based on his start for the club.

You cant say the squad is great or better than last season until they show it, just as much as you cant write it off.

No I agree with Sangare, way too early to write him off, always takes a while to adjust to the prem, particularly from Holland which is very top heavy. My point is too short on attacking options coming in and over-reliance on Taiwo and then just really about lowering expectations of the squad as the overriding expectation was that we were/are going to finish near the top half, which is clearly optimistic. Also, that a new manager isn't going to turn water into wine right now, it will take time regardless of the manager and Steve has proven he's capable of developing players. 

Sadly his best example is injured right now and we miss him badddddd.

Wassy you post this Taiwo stuff on a daily basis.

The truth is that we need to find a way to win without him, we need to find the way to get others scoring goals. We need to find the way to get the best out of Wood or to get our midfielders chipping in with goals or our centre backs getting goals from corners etc. Yes we miss Taiwo but it's no excuse for our feeble run of 3 wins in 17 games.

I don't see Spurs fans bleating about not having Kane, or Brenford fans bleating about not having Toney, or Fulham fans bleating about not having Mitrovic, or Palace fans bleating about not having Saha, or Everton fans bleating about not having DCL available and having to play that donkey Beto instead.

They have all found a way to get the best out of what they have.

I'm certain Palace fans are complaining about not having a striker, Everton fans have been complaining for years too about not having a DCL replacement. In fact a really great example as it's the exact same situation. A top player when fit, however often injured and generally Everton's good results coincide with when he's available (started both their recent excellent wins). I guarantee you if Beto is a donkey they will be complaining about it! Also, those teams have had a window to replace the guys you listed, we had that and chose to stick with Wood as the backup.

Fair play to Brentford in particular and Fulham to do so well without decent strikers. We need MGW and Elanga to play to the level of Willian, Iwobi, Pereira and Mbuemo. 

So far they have occasionally but we really have no-one behind them to provide support. Hopefully now we're back to wingbacks, they'll chip in like on Saturday. Maybe unlocking Neco Williams, is the answer to the question no-one asked!

I was referring to DCL not being fit most of the time not about all the other stuff that is going on.

It is the sort of game that could see us take a hammering. Tottenham have weaknesses but I don't know if we have the players to fully exploit it. On the other hand, we have weaknesses and I do think Spurs have the players to exploit them.

I think if we take a hammering tonight, EM will pull the trigger as we are sliding closer into the mire. I'm amazed it hasn't already happened but maybe it is EM'S patience with Coops... maybe it is because he hasn't goy anyone in who he thinks is a better fit... maybe he wants cooper to have one last chance to say goodbye to the city ground fans.

Anyway, my heart says we'll get something from this, my brain is telling me it's going to be brutal.

We really have to try and win the midfield battle, if we can rile spurs up they have some loose cannons who could see red, Bissouma, Romero, Sarr and richarlison have all got a temper and can be petulant at times.

They also leave a lot of space in behind the wide areas and this can be our strength so we have to try to expose them.
