I’ve been backing him and telling anyone who will listen that we cannot keep sacking managers. It hasn’t worked for 20 years so let’s try something different........
But after watching that last night it’s getting harder now to argue keeping him, I’m sorry to say.
If we have to make a change I hope to god it’s someone with experience in this league. Paul Cook would be my choice. He has always spoken well of Forest for a few years now and he would get a tune out of this squad I reckon.
But it will probably be another unknown who we will all be googling when he’s announced.

Just had a sneak peek on another forum ( sorry Sniff it was the briefest of looks ) and one or two are advocating the Cowley’s. It sent shivers down my spine - after over 50 years supporting my club I would request an instant divorce from all things CG if they were to darken our door ( as if there were a chance in hell ).

What are the arguments to keep him?

That the next bloke who comes in will struggle too, he demands more players in January to fit his preferred style, we sign yet more mediocrity, finish 10th, next manager sacked, bomb squad up to 30 players and round we go again next year.

That isn't a positive about Sabri though. That's an assumed negative about his replacement.

The assumed negative is the from the evidence I have paid to witness for the last 21 seasons.

Yes he is struggling big time and it is painful to watch. You want a reason to keep Sabri, Ok here is one I have quoted before from Daniel Taylor. When we got it right last season other Championship managers were marvelling about how we set up, our discipline and style of play.
He has got it in him but I fully accept that the thin ice is starting to break up.

I have said similar almost week. 3 or 4 quality additions were needed not 12 or what is likely to be 13. Sabri is at fault for wanting that many changed but ffs someone running the club should have been saying something to him.

Sadly vote yes, like the bloke but as most can see has lost it in both the eyes of the most of the fans and it seems some of the more senior players. It's a shame as I though early parts of last year that Sabri could at last be the man to move us forward. Not sure who should replace him if/when he goes, he may even resign before being pushed as he seems a decent guy. It would have to be sooner rather then later as we could be 9 points behind the early leaders by 5pm tonight!

This is the bit that worries me.

If we were working towards a tactical change to 3 at the back for example, I could live with poor results while transitioning. But that doesn't seem to be what we are doing. Funny way of doing it if we are, by not playing 3 at the back and putting our no 10 on the wing.

I don't understand what the plan is. I'd like the coach to tell us. All he says in the interviews is something along the lines of 'we have to work', 'we have to believe'. Work at what Sabri? Believe in what? If you told us what you're trying to achieve in terms of the football it would help us support you. Surely it's not giving too much away to the opposition. If he wants me to back him, he needs to tell me what he's trying to achieve. Not that it really matters what I think, with us locked out of the grounds.

What really matters is has Sabri told the players (and club hierarchy), and do they believe in it. What worries me is that the players don't seem to, based on declining performances and body language, and what people suggested on e.g. the Freeman substitution, Arter response to tactical instructions.

This is irritating me, everyone spent most of last season criticising our lack of depth/quality. We've vastly improved that squad and now its too much! You can't win. 3/4 quality additions right, plus another two to replace Cash/Watson so thats 6 already. 

Of the 11 or 12 we've made, the extra LB seems odd but otherwise its just filling holes that were required to be filled. Unless everyone wanted no number 10, only one striker, continuing with a failing centre back pairing, jenkinson at RB, yates and Johnson CM etc

Wow. Wasn't expecting such a large swing. Last poll was 15th September when a total of 20 voted to let Sabri go, 44 to keep.

2 more losses and a lot less people feeling forgiving.
