The law of averages says they're due a beating then.

Tis a good shout. It was Lolley who was benched at Reading when similar happened.

I'm not so sure ribeiro is worth a place further up the pitch myself personally.

Brentford seem to think this is the toughest game remaining for them.

Forest ( and most other EFL clubs) could learn a lot. Refreshing talk about their attitude to sacking the manager:

Interestingly coming back to the stats, we got Brentford Head Coach Thomas Frank down the pub a few weeks after the Millwall match. We hit him with some pretty tough questions.

One of them was

“When fans were singing your’re getting sacked in the morning, were you ever worried for your job?”.

And his straight answer was “No”.

And the reason.

At Brentford, they judge the performance. And not the results.

So if the team is ticking all the right boxes (stats-wise) and doing all the right things, then the belief is the results will come. And if the head coach getting the team is doing the right things, it is ill advised to change him. As he is not the problem.

The club came up with a fair bit of stick for sticking to their guns. Twice with Thomas Frank (he also lost pretty much 10 games in a row last season but the club was not worries in the slightest).

But fair play to Brentford. They didn’t consider letting Frank go despite pressure from media and some fans saying he should.

And I believe that is one element of the way the club is run that sets us apart from a lot of sides.

Hard not to be a bit jealous of an attitude like that. I read that they do something similar to recruitment too. They look at chances created rather than goals for attackers for example. Idea being to judge players on their own ability rather than their team mates

I assumed this would be in the red button on Sky Sports but I just read it won’t be. Is it not on tv at all?

Okay, going to have to make changes, Ribeiro to LB and Ameobi into midfield.

They are a well run club with a hood knack of getting in lower league jems or unknown foreign talent. I don't think there are many people here that would be unhappy to see this sort of mentality rewarded with promotion (although not at our expense).

And a reminder that, as fans we should be patient. We can be as guilty as anyone for calling managers to be sacked after a poor run.
How I would love to end a season with the same manager as we started. It must be around ten years since that last happened

I wouldn't grudge Brentford getting promoted. They've spent the 'time' and stuck to their philosophy. Even when they were in and around the relegation zone earlier in the season they didn't panic. Even when fans moan. They stick to task.

I'd be happy seeing Forest go up as Champions and Brentford runners up.

SA.

They're beginning to get a bit arrogant. A bit like Bournenouth were when we went down there and stole a win. Id take that tonight.

Great night that. The starting line up were a promotion standard side...injuries took away Reid, Brit, Fryatt and Lansbury soon after.
