Sabri wouldn't want to conceal an injury, he gives nothing away in interviews anyway. And would Tails have said something? The press lads I think would be happy to keep such info to themselves until an hour before the next game.

What was the issue with the set up against Cardiff?

Starting with the same line up will be acceptable will it?
Sitting back and allowing the opposition to maintain possession will be acceptable will it?
Only going on the attack after we fall behind will be acceptable will it?
As i stated, he has enough top quality signings at his disposal now to consider changing personnel and mindset in his set up.

I would've said that at the weekend but seeing how the club have continued to bring in decent players over the last few days, it suggests to me that Sabri continues to receive backing from the owner. I think it's poor performances that will eventually do him in. As you elude, another muted performance, sloppy goals conceded etc and it looks tough for him.
Even though it came to nothing, at least he has a positive 2nd half performance to build on from the Cardiff game. A tiny bit of momentum which hopefully will lift the squad this week.

Sorry, but that was not the case against Cardiff. Have you read the match analysis from ForestBoffin. Highly recommended if you want to understand what happened in that game (spoiler alert: It was not the set up as you describe it above).

Now on to something completely different. Why does Sabri always play down the number of injured players? His latest assessment was that only Silva was injured but now we suddenly have Fred, Sow, Worrall and probably a few more injured as well. Is it to fool the opposition in their tactical planning before the game?

BACK 4
After a season where - in the main - our back four was dependable Sabri finds himself with some tough decisions to make for this game.
Jenkinson was again singularly unconvincing - Christie has now had several training sessions and could be in line for his debut.
Figureido’s confidence is shot & surely needs to be replaced - could Daws step back into the fray?
Is Worrall injured? If so could McKenna be fast tracked into starting?
Blackett is apparently now fit - and hence in line to replace Ribeiro.
Each of those changes individually wouldn’t cause more than a ripple of concern. But potentially to change the entire back four? That would be brave indeed.

I voted for him to be given more time but if he picks Figs & Jenkinslow I might change my mind! Yates I'm more relaxed about.

I have defended Figuredo, better than he’s defended for us of late but quite simply he deserves to be dropped.
