As for that article, fine but we have to stop blaming the current manager and look at the process that got us in the situation to begin with. It mentions Brentford and Keith Andrews. We never get that far because we never have a long term strategy at this club. Always knee jerk reactions to the current situation and this season lurching from one catastrophic decision to the next.

The point is Sniffer we haven’t had the opportunity to do that kind of succession planning because we always seem to be fire fighting some crisis or other. Last summer was the exception but then that went tits up too.
Lets say we think Warren Joyce is the long term heir then great but you cant throw him into a relegation scrap with 12 games to go. (It won’t be Joyce by the way, he’s 61 years old already!) We need to be thinking ahead as to who is going to be manager in 2 years time, developing a plan, bringing in players who suit that style. There isn’t a player in the league that fits Ange and Dyche, its just hair brained stuff.
Lets see if Edu can come up with something along those lines because thats his job. You seem to think he can, my opinion is his only plan is to phone his agent mates, we’ll start to see who’s right this summer.

Hopefully Vitor brings one with him. I was misinformed that set pieces was a massive strength of Dyche but we arguably got worse particularly attacking. Those two corners from Hutchinson will take a while to forgive!

Absolutely.

For me that was the biggest f**k up this season.

We should have appointed Silva and then advertised the job and sorted through the applicants and then narrowed it down to the final 3 short list (plus Silva if he was going well).

Instead we rushed into appointing Ange.

I didn’t register the CHO non-pass to Lucca but I thought the same about that one as I was screaming ‘goal of the season’ if he’d pulled the trigger!

The only thing I’ll continue to wonder is the games we won convincingly under him in the prem, spurs Liverpool etc no matter what form they were in why did he see how good we performed how well the players did and not endeavour to pursue with it?

Did the players some how play their own tactics and not his? It’s all very bizarre
