The ref did NOT blow for a free-kick. He stopped play because Konate had gone down feigning a head injury. You can tell because of the time delay, plus the double blow of the whistle and the ref pointing to his head. It was a stoppage for a so-called head injury, with us in a dangerous position.

The tv shows replays, then the picture cuts to the ball going long, deep into the Forest half. What happened? The ref just gave Liverpool possession? Can someone at the ground tell me?

I'm really wondering what the **** is the point of bothering with the bias in this league.

There was a clear infringement of the rules. The ball should have been given back to us after their fake head injury.

Faking a head injury should be a retrospective 5 game ban. If refs can't trust players to be honest for their collective safety then it puts players in danger.

Me too. It was unbelievable. I hope Nuno and the club make a big deal of it even if there's a fine as a result. We've been f*****g mugged off today.

For me the headlines are yet again about poor officiating by the Referee. He allowed play to continue on a number of occasions when our players were fouled but as soon as one of them cheating bastards went down, they got a free kick. The restart after the game was stopped for Konyate was totally wrong. When the whistle went, CHO had the ball outside of the box with the nearest Scouce about 12-15 yards from him. To hand the ball back to Liverpool at the restart is blatant cheating IMO and needs to be investigated. I hope Clattenberg goes to town on this, although I doubt it. He will find some bullshit excuse to clear the Ref. Even if he agrees the decision was wrong, what use is another letter of apology from the PGMOL or what ever it is called.

For some reason the officials and the PL have certainly got it in for us.

I dont think there was any Forest player today who deserves any criticism for their efforts. They all put in a shift, well apart from Awoniyi. I dont know if anybody else noticed but he seemed to be labouring when running, which makes me wonder if he is still injured.

Well done lads, an excellent performance that deserved a draw at the very least. We could have snatched a victory but were instead robbed.

FYI, CHO touched the ball before the whistle went. So per the rules from the FA website (2023-2024) below, it should have been our ball.

(And besides that, that rule is absolutely ripe to be gamed by cheats feigning injury. But anyway in our case CHO had already touched the ball and was in clear possession).

The ball is in play when it touches the ground.

Right now I feel as deflated and angry than I can ever remember being after a match.

By that I mean at the referee, at the system and to a degree at our own players but that is more frustration.

I thought Konate going through the back of MGW to win the ball was a terrible challenge.

Then Danns clattering Sels in the head to me was beyond dangerous play, it was assault.

I don’t ordinarily tend to blame the referee but today he was woeful.

Liverpool should have potentially had 3 red cards - wonder if they were looked at- doubt it. Tierney is shocking and every single 50/50 went in their favour.
The failure to hoof the ball when we had two chances to do so was criminal.
The worst aspect though was the stupid bint who bought a kid in a Liverpool kit in the home end and actually our stewards letting him and her onto the field after the final whistle. Whoever’s ticket they’d got they need banning for life. Klopp and co were absolutely classless too. I’m still raging.
