Play Offs 2020

Don’t forget some clubs may end up going out of business, they still have staff and players to pay, can’t sustain that for long on no income surely and I would imagine any compensation offered by the government wouldn’t amount to the huge amount it takes to run a club.

If the season is unable to finish what about this for an idea...

Leeds and West Brom go up automatically.

The teams currently in the play off places:

Whoever has the most points from the matches played against the other teams in the play offs. For example Forest will have 6 points from beating Brentford twice, 3 points from beating Fulham etc etc. Whoever comes out on top goes up via the play offs.

No club will be promoted.
The PL will close ranks & we go again next season.

Sniff...this season will be completed..when ? Who knows...in empty stadiums ? Maybe ... but now is not the time to think of next season...the world, europe on top, is falling to pieces ... the last thing in the mind of responsible politicians is how Forest or Brentford are going to pay the wages of a guy that for years was earning 10k a week ...

That's the problem TPL.

The bottom 3 teams currently in the PL are not going to accept relegation are they? Not when it's still mathematically possible for them to stay up.

Its not just the PL who will close ranks.

Does anyone seriously think that if a decision is made which prevents us going up and favours another club that Maranakis wont go legal; of course he will, and so will other clubs if they think they are getting unfavourable treatment.

There is no way that an alternative to all of the games being played will be acceptable to all clubs

They may decide to play out the rest of this season in August & September. Have say 4 week break to make new transfers and commence a shorten league programme of matches for next season?

I am sure that would give us the third spot.

Very unlikely to happen though I imagine.

19 cases to date all imported, but normal life is done. Work activity almost nothing,  hotels closing doors one by one , as who comes from abroad must remain in quarantine for 14 days, so no one is coming ... this is causing a ripple effect on everything.. log of foreigners working in Malta are leaving , making sure they r not caught in a lock down ... not even during WW2 It was like this ... surprisingly the illegal immigrants (boat people) stopped coming, if seems they prefare to remain in their war torn countries then coming to Corona torn Europe ...

Great in theory but probably a non starter.
