Piers might be right in saying a manager needs 3-4 windows to get 'his' team established.
Forest have had one makeshift transfer window and one 'proper' transfer window with a pre-season for the 1st time in years. That's not enough to take them from where they are to definite top 6. It shows in the LB, LW, CH, ACM and Striker positions. We don't have the options to put teams to bed. And if we don't have our best 11 out we suffer. Give Aitor another window at least and until the end of the season. I'd say we'd have enough to finish top 6. SA.

McKay had 5 goals and 7 assists for us in 26 league apps
Kieran dowell had 9 goals and 4 assists in 36 apps Dias has played 20 games in the league with no goals or assists. Carvalho has 3 goals and 6 assists In 23 apps

Don’t think that’s fair on Carvalho, he brings so much more to the team in link up play, it’s a novelty to see a player with so much talent in a red shirt.

He has made some very high profile errors, which will need a big performance or ten for fans to forgive, almost Foxesque. However, he has size, pace, quick feet, can finish and works his nuts off. Clearly, he has alot to learn about defending and not panicking under pressure, but there is definitely a player in there, who could be devastating. Should we write him off so soon? Then again can we afford to persevere while he develops? I was fuming after Norwich too by the way and don't think he should be in starting line up at present, but I would honestly rather have seen him as an option at Left Wing Back yesterday than Janko when we needed to find a goal.

See personally I’m not convinced that he will make it, nothing to do with his defending. His positional play is really poor he seems unable to get himself on the ball in the last 20 yards compared to the other wingers. His shooting looks ok but again if he doesn’t get the ball in the right area then it doesn’t matter. Dribbling he just tends t run into people. Can he fix these things, don’t see it happening here!
