What does losing the dressing room mean.

It means the players, or the majority including the key characters and leaders in the dressing room, have lost belief and maybe respect in him and his methods. They might not be consciously defying him but they have mentally stopped giving 100% effort for him.

It’s what happened to MON at the end of his time here.

We could blame the players for their attitude, and we’d probably be right, but the fact is the coach is paid to get the best out of them and make the sum of the team greater than the sum of each individual. Once their faith in him has gone, he’s dead in the water. Once ‘the dressing room is lost’ it is game over. Bye bye coach.

You could argue that the best thing you could possibly do to change a clubs fortunes and get down to the bottom of it is to ruffle a few feathers and challenge the dressing room ethos, especially if it is underachieving or been generally failing for many months, years or even decades, even centuries

It was very very early pre season, a great time to get stuck in and get to the bottom of things

f*** the dressing room, if it's failing it has to be sorted out, so we sack managers for wanting to sort it out and stand up to ideals which are flawed, fair play to M o N, shame on the dressing room collective, it's probably still the same problems now 18 months or more later

1. The person says most of the players know Sabri's days are numbered, but because the club spent so much on his signings, they are seeing if things can be turned around.
2. Sabri didnt make any contact with any player. at all, after the Stoke game until pre-season started.
3. A lot of the players are struggling to understand what he wants from them. He is not giving them enough explanation of things, leaving players not sure about things.
4. He has lost a lot of the dressing room, not all of it, but quite a few players no longer want to know.
5. The players are devastated at the start they have had so far this season.
6. Sabri not prepared to discuss alternative suggestions with players.

If the above statements are true, and I have absolutely no reason to believe otherwise, then I think it is safe to say I cannot see things turning around, despite my comments on my earlier post and can the club, in all seriousness, afford to give him any longer?

Those of you that know me on here will know that I do not put up gossip or idle bullshit. The above has been told to me by my son, who I trust totally by someone we all know through their connection to the club. If that person has been bullshitting my son, then I will view them in a totally different light from now on, but, in all fairness, I doubt the person is that way inclined.

I think 3) is the most concerning thing, if indeed true. It's frustrating for me because I can't understand what we're trying to achieve in order to get cohesive attacks with the players / formation he chooses, and I wish he'd help us understand. But if the players don't understand then its impossible.

Losing the dressing room is a big problem that must be addressed one way or another, but I don't like the way players can do that and force a coach out. I guess that's where the likes of Dourekas and all come in, helping feed to the hierarchy what's going on and who is at fault.

It's a sign of the times though, we've brought up a generation that need to be persuaded to do things. The respect for authority has declined, holding a position isn't enough, it will be questioned and has to be (continually) earnt more these days. Like it or not it's part of the job of managing a team of people.

You think that Christie, Soh, McKenna, Blackett, Colback, Arter and Taylor have stopped giving 100% effort for him.

The number 3 comment is very strange, because every interview I have heard from the likes of Dawson, Cash, Worrall and many more have said that he makes it extremely clear what he wants and importantly what he doesn’t want from every player in the team.

With any big squad, you will always have the players that aren’t involved and won’t be involved, who are against the manager. That will happen at every club in the country.

It’s when the senior players in the squad start turning that you have issues.

That is what happened with Martin O’Neill.

If the senior players are still on his page then that’s the key.

I guess we will know on Saturday from the reaction.

I’m expecting a big reaction from the players, whilst that never guarantees a result, it shows whether the6 are behind him or not

The big characters in the dressing room - Dawson, Grabban, Colback, Arter - they hold the key.

I’d imagine colback and arter could be objective in their views...

Well Freeman clearly wasn't very pleased when he was subbed off the other day if it's true that Dawson had to take him away from the bench. Grabban looked pissed off and Arter looked completely baffled when Grabs came on and told him the tactical changes.

Nixon remarked on Twitter today that he's never seen a team with more unhappy faces in it than ours the other night and it's difficult to disagree with him.

I mentioned the body language of the players on the first day of the season at QPR. It has not been right for a while. Currently tells you everything you need to know about the camp.

Maybe they don’t like losing?

Perhaps that is it. Frustration. Sabri does tend to constantly tinker - wingers changing wings- playing narrow- full backs pushed on then deep, moving central midfielders side to side... perhaps finding it hard to get any rhythm going...

I increasingly feel there are a lot of very unhappy players in our squad right now.

They should be - they’re losing every week and can’t score a goal.
