He wasnt chewing the fat with random fans like me and you though TPL whos opinion means nothing. He was doing it with a respected former forest star and the father of one of our upcoming superstars. Yes talk like that in private, fine, but not in public where it can have a corrosive effect.  I say it again, how are the comments he makes helping the club in any way? Absolutely none. Hes harming it. I can  see why Billy banned him from the stadium now.

I too am in agreement on this one. Whilst I agreed Taylor was right to report on the back room goings on at the club, which were seemingly dragging us down, using one of our former and respected players and also the Dad of our most talented prospect to muck rake is appalling, especially on a public forum.

I am fortunate enough to have met and talked at length to Johnno and he is one of the nicest people you could wish to meet. I also believe that he has a lot of sentiment towards Forest still, even after all these years and let us not forget that the Forest side he played in was a fast attacking side.

Back on track. This thread is about our manager.

For what it's worth CH over the last 7 or 8 league games has done well.

Talk of replacing the manager is surely very premature.

A run of 7 unbeaten is quickly forgotten it seems.

Boro and Swansea were better. We committed cardinal mistakes. And we're punished.

We can do another unbeaten run again.

I think a couple of wins from were we are would make things looks lots better.

It's early days with Chris. He needs a couple of years at this. To bring in his own players and to stick with it.

My only complaint against him yesterday was playing Figs instead of Dawson. Sorry, but Figs is possibly the single biggest liability I've seen at the club since the Megson days. We eed to sort his head out sharpish, or move him on.

Trying new players & ideas out in a game which mattered little made perfect sense, as Hughton will be well aware that next season EM will be expecting promotion.

I actually think yesterday's tanking had some positives, in that both Hughton & the club can't hide away now from the fact that we have signed some utterly dire players, nowhere near the level required for promotion.

unfortunately i wish i could agree Alf, my regret is that if you are resting players, rest them, don't drag them out of bed at 7 am stick them on a coach to Swansea and go through all the pre match, warm ups, preparation and ultimately implicate them in an awful result

i think, even the most optimistic of us had already, long ago concluded that our squad is nowhere near promotion standard

we can't even conclude it was a totally shambolic performance by bomb squad players, i wish we could.

You could argue that a group of generally uninspiring, unfit and makeshift players were still in the game after an hour and Chris Hughton gets no breaks from referees

I haven't really learned anything from yesterday as you couldn't really expect the starting line up to gel and become an exceptional impressive team, every single game for more than a year that we play a changed team we tend to lose, this was a changed team with improvisation and out of position stuff with more than a smattering of total unfamiliarity

I haven't learned anything, if we really want to win a game we have to play our strongest side which we already knew, and Swansea demonstrated the only time to really introduce new players is when you are winning and they come out the blocks flying and have debuts to remember and tell there grand kids about

It wasn't a titanicesque disaster but everyone ended up cold and limping around in life rafts, this probably won't help preparation, confidence or belief going into the next game, i've learned nowt
