Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager

It was obvious the squad was in disarray when Hughton arrived. The whole club was still reeling from the end of season humiliation last season. I don’t see the owners getting rid in the summer. It’s similar, but different, to when Karanka came in and prepared the ground for a challenge the following season.

I don't see him going in the summer unless things go seriously pear shaped.
Sabri had a horrendous finish to the season and was backed. Also the owner doesn't get rid without a replacement ready.

Its often said you have to hit rock bottom to enable real change. Lets hope where we currently are is rock bottom enough! It could still be worse- we do have quality players in our squad, just possibly the balance wrong and/or the tactics not right to suit.

Hopefully CH is a bringer of change and someone who is given time to develop his ethos to the club too. I just hope that ethos aligns with what so many of us want to see.

For me I would like to see a team who are going to balance attack with defence side. Press high and make football exciting. Is CH the man for that? Not in my eyes and I predict a very boring team that will be defensively set up not to lose rather than win a game.

In fairness to Hughton once he had put his mark on that Brighton team they had good balance between attack and defence. His first full season they were joint top goalscorers with 72 goals finishing 3rd. In the second season (when they were promoted) they were 4th or 5th with 74 goals scored and had the joint best defence with only 40 conceded. At the moment we're very similar to how they were when he first joined them halfway through the season; finished 20th and only managed 44 goals. He deserves time even if only for his reputation at this level.

Yes I think he'll be fine as long as we don't go down. We were bottom of the league when he took over.

It would be lunacy to get rid of CH in summer.

He builds clubs, he isn’t a quick fix man.

he will have had 40 games to have fully assessed what he has got, and what he needs.

We will be much improved  next season, just because history tells you that CH always does well in his 2nd season.

I reckon we have hit rock bottom and hopefully will get us moving forward.

Won’t be a quick fix though

Amen.

my worry is the product of NFFC, personally, i feel i am wasting a tenner and feel disappointed and sort of let down after games

the match on Tuesday is diabolical, playing Coventry in Birmingham and they have the Ricoh Arena sitting empty

Marinakis has something potentially amazing here in Nottingham but at the moment it is sterile, tedious and disappointing, it's a totally duff product at the moment

If Hughton only put Mighten on on 87 mins to burn up some time and hold on for a draw either he should f off or i should get me tenner refunded

We need a product identity, we need heroes, i'm not paying to watch cowardice and i don't like the idea of fans being ripped off, we've all suffered for years and years and we are in the most boring stagnant time in history and we have Chris Hughton to provide our weekly fix of entertainment

Hughton now averaging 1.3 PPG, still not good enough but with the form over the past ten games it is slowly heading in the right direction

Under Hughton we are 11th in the form table. With ppg from those 25 games to include Hughton from game day 1 we would be 11th in the table.

The last 5 games is an average of 2 ppg

The last 10 games is an average of 1.9 ppg

The last 15 games is an average of 1.3 ppg

I mean the difference is certainly there we just need to keep pushing on at that pace now

I doubt anyone with any football nous whatsoever would want us to change the manager now. Probably a few football manager/fifa/pro evo geeks who think you can buy and sell who you like but here in the real world I think most can see the slow evolution taking place. It might not be next season, but if we stick with a manager (this manager) for once then it will happen.

I'm an extremist, we win a game we are gonna make the play offs or we lose a game and we are getting relegated or it's not working out.

Huge positives, namely the 6 points and 5 goals from the last 2 games

2nd half versus Wycombe was the most convincing we have been all season, positive, cohesive, high possession, dominant

But the first half versus Wycombe was relatively mediocre, if not for the goal, absolute dross, the 2nd half versus Coventry similar.

But yes, the wins are most important and whatever has to happen to get to a win, be great to build a buffer and get safe, this run in could be an awesome building and preparation phase for next season

Having said that, beat Bournemouth and we are only 10 points off the play offs with still 51 points ish still to play for, 18 points, 6 games in the next month

On the other hand we are only 4 points clear of relegation

If Chris Hughton wins manager of the month, it would probably mean we are in the top 10, that'll do
