DM: My pleasure it's nice to be here. So why should I leave my current position of CEO at Barnsley and come and work for Nottingham Forest?
EM: Because we need a new CEO but all our football operations decisions will be made by Ioannis Vrentzos who is moving to Athens.
DM: Oh okay I see. Good bye then and thanks for your time.
Hence why I mentioned goalposts being moved. Will Murphy be happy reporting into Vrentzos ?
Will that be moving the goalposts?
Exactly. Unless members of this forum somehow have access to the discussions at board level in the club then we have no way of knowing if any goalposts have been moved, or of Vrentzos's intentions/future role, or what this new guy's role will be. My GUESS is that as Vrentzos is staying within the employ of EM, then there's some kind of transition being worked out. The last thing we need at this period of time is a new guy walking in with a blank piece of paper.

So Vrentzos has the final say on all operational issues?
Are you saying he micro manages all departments in that way?

For the record it wasn't me who said Vrentzos will move and be in charge of football operations it was somebody else. I was only quoting what somebody else said. All I have said directly is that I didn't agree with it and that it made no sense.

Do you feel he may be more of a 'financial consultant' for NFFC then Sniffer?- may as well make use of his undoubted talents, just shoehorn him away for more direct footballing matters

It certainly does not make sense.
A Chief Executive Officer is the highest Executive position in a business; they report directly to the owner or to the Board of the holding Company - this is the position which Vrentzos currently holds.
To appoint a new CEO with Vrentzos still in place sounds like a recipe for disaster; no one in their right mind would take the job on those terms.
What I was alluding to would be a new CEO (Murphy) coming in to run the show in Nottingham but reporting to a higher authority in Greece.

We might never know, these guys don't do publicity and announcements. EM has many other business's too besides his football teams so he may go to work in one of them. The truth is that nobody knows anything for sure at the moment.

He (his company) has invested 1.1 Billion dollars (yes billion, it's not a mistake) to upgrade 71 tankers and container carriers to clean up vessel emissions. He's also ordered some new ships from Hyundai H.I in South Korea.
He also now has his own Greek TV Channel called Mega, the older channel he had before called One channel was internet only.

Definitely not Reds and he's worth a lot more than often gets reported. All the above is nailed on true.
