Samba's shot it now and missed out on Liverpool too. Hopefully he'll have learned his lesson from this. Still a top keeper but he's lost his spot for me now.

Horvath is playing well, and deserves to keep the shirt.

This is good management and it lets all the players know.....when your chance comes take it. if you take it, you keep the shirt.

I agree - horvath has done nothing to lose the shirt and its Samba's job to get it back. It's healthy competition and something we've not had for number 1 shirt in very long time

Yes I agree, Samba is a good back up keeper.

Is it just me, there is something about Horvarth that still makes me feel a bit uncomfortable particularly with the ball at his feet.

He did nothing wrong at all, most saves were fairly routine but the one in the first half from the shot after the post rebound was excellent the way he got down to it, thought that was a certain goal.

Yet despite that I get a sense of calmness with Samba between the sticks that he will deal with any situation, just havent seen that from Horvarth yet. There were a couple occasions where he seemed hesitant whether to go for the ball or not, one in the first half he kind of flapped at a deep cross as it went over.

Let me emphasise I think he deserves to keep his place, just saying not convinced he is our long term 1st choice yet.

I thought exactly the same, noticed a few times he started to go then retreated. He also had a couple of unconvincing punches and the goal was exactly where you'd want the keeper to be punching it.

I think that's slightly generous to Horvath.
I don't think any of us have seen enough to decide if he's good, very good or excellent.

There was a point in game yesterday when he came a punched high ball, and you could hear the ground murmur (Samba would have caught that).

Well I said he has been very good I wasn't talking about what might be in the future. I can't understand peoples obsession to find faults with him. Is Horvath now the new Ryan Yates? What more could he have done in the games he's so far played?

I also don't like the fact that it looks like his mum cut his hair after a bout of nits at school.
