I think it is worth pointing out at this stage that Dane asked for help and requested that Charnley be brought into the club to help with PL match day requirements and ticketing etc. Charnley is on the business side and he is not involved on the playing side of things. Charnley role is advisory and consultancy etc on a part time basis only.
His role might change once Dane leaves but then aghain when Dane leaves Charnley might leave too. We will have to wait and see.

Question Sniff, if you know: Did Murphy ask specifically for Charnley? Or just for help and EM appointed Charnley?
I just find it interesting because, as you said (and it's more on Twitter than here), it seems that every good decision is allocated to Murphy and all the bad ones to EM and son. I'm sure that can't be the case either way.
If Murphy asked for Charnley that would totally rubbish the above theory.

“(Watford) are not a club that leaves the coach alone and lets him get on with the job,” said Giraldi. “I’m there (at training) every day, the owner is there every day — he doesn’t watch every training session but he’s there, so you can see him and speak with him.”
Wow. I am sure Cooper really asked for this ^

I have no problem with Charnely being there in a consultancy role and Murphy may indeed have asked for it. The point is there are strong rumours Murphy will leave and Charnley will take over the CEO role. Do we really want him and Giraldo effectively running the club? Does that all sound like a marriage made in heaven?

SR as far as I know in other words what I have been told here in Athens (I wasn't there when Dane allegedly said it) is that Dane specifically asked for Charnley.

Paul Taylor:
Filippo Giraldi has been appointed to help Nottingham Forest acclimatise to life in the Premier League behind the scenes.
His past methods at Watford - where he had a positive impact - suggest he will have a close working relationship with Steve Cooper.

First question might be........"Well Steve, we have all these new Centre Backs with pace and skill, and you are picking Cook, McKenna and Worrall and shipping goals left right and centre........why is this ? "

Well Filippo, one of them is injured, one of them played once and had a shocker, one of them is completely unproven at this level and hasn't played much at all at the top level.
Plus if you're looking for skill, the best passer is Joe Worrall but I got chastised for picking him, so I took him out.

P.S I didn't want to sign half of them, cheers.
