I could expose a city councilor on here if I wanted to which would put him behind bars.
They should be careful what they wish for.

They also want to get a 300% rent increase to hide more of their own incompetence and give them a nice little bank balance which would get depleted pretty quick because of that said incompetence. The location would be the key thing for me. I've no doubt any decent architects and constructors could design and build a fantastic stadium but where would it go? Where the City Ground is now is perfect in so many ways. Walkable from town, decent transport links and the backdrop of the river. Apart from where County Hall is on the other side of Trent Bridge I can't think of anywhere else that'd be as good. It'd be a massive shame if it were somewhere several miles out of the city centre.

I agree with you SR.
City Ground or County Hall. Nowhere else interests me at all.

I just can't think of anywhere else. The Island Quarter might have worked but that's all under development now.

As the Council has decided to relocate from County Hall, surely a deal could be agreed to purchase, and build a new stadium there. Its more or less in the same location as the WFCG.

The County Hall site not big enough to accommodate a 50k football stadium imo. A huge amount of land is required, hence they often end up located on out of town brownfield sites.

But unless it was about 50 years ago, which I doubt, then requesting quadruple the current amount feels a bit on the steep side to me.

County hall not big enough footprint.
