The Silence Is Deafening

Club looks to have been manouvering AK out the door for weeks now. As the title says, the silence is deafening.

I think it would be good if we did hear more from the club in general, and in particular the likes of Randall, maybe Owen and Metgod too. However, I'm not sure exactly what they could do in this case. There's clearly something going on behind the scenes and it looks like Aitor and the ownership/board may have fallen out. So what is the club meant to say? They've not started this speculation - the media has - albeit because of information they've got from someone connected with the club.

They can hardly release a statement saying 'ignore all the speculation, the manager has our backing' then give him the boot, as that will damage their credibility even more.

I agree SR but the fanbase is getting angry and upset.

We have just got all the fans back on board after Fawaz and now we have this going on.

It's a fine line though if they don't want to comment then they should at least be decisive and make a decision.

This situation is hurting the club and harming our chances of promotion.

It needs putting to bed one way or the other, it's been dragging on now since 29/11/2018 (Ipswich) and it's no coincidence that during that time we have only won one match.

Yes - definitely agree that something has to happen one way or the other. We're 10 days into the January window now. We need to bring at least a couple of players in if we really want to have a go at promotion this year. It's not the time to be faffing around over keeping or sacking the manager.

Guppy never officially annouced.

Anigo never officially annouced.

 Pathetic communication by the club to it's loyal fans.

I would agree that communication has been poor to date, especially concerning things already in the public domain

It frustrates the hell out of me NG3, it really does.

It's all incredibly frustrating for me too.

How can a club of NFFC's standing sack (or part ways) with a manager with a team 4 points off the play-offs, and then appoint a club legend without even 1 utterance of the circumstances around the change ? It's as much a joke as Fawaz' communications were the other way.

I'm getting a bit fed up now with from January watching a team who are merely in transition ready for a real push the next season.

Just a few words from the chairman is all I ask to maintain my faith.

It's also worth pointing out that Saturday night and Sunday morning I was fairly despondent at the way the team were set up and the way they performed. Then I heard the MON post match interview where he explained things a bit and suggested why he'd gone 442 and that he was going to have a look at it again this week. That 5 minute interview gave me some real optimism and reassurance that I wasnt seeing things and that MON thought it was bad too. Just a little communication is all it takes.

It is annoying me too.

Steve Guppy, is he our assistant manager, first team coach? or perhaps that is Simon Ireland?

Jose Anigo, Is he our Sporting Director? If so, how long for? One window? The rest of the season? Perhaps 18 months?

Disgraceful treatment of the fans in my opinion who deserve to know who is working at our club.

& me a) because supporters are stakeholders & deserve some information at least, on some matters, & b) because silence leaves a void that others fill with bullshit & narratives that are to the detriment of everyone.

I don't expect every detail to be released, nor for dirty laundry to be aired in public, but general updates are not to much for fans to ask for.

Aye.  Even Doughty gave his 'Sermon from the Mount' once a year...

All gone quiet on Keane now. I can't say I am too bothered if he is not coming.
