Think we will get absolutely mullered.

There is nothing to dread. We won’t get mullered.

Defensively we have been poor since the Liverpool game and got mullered at Bournemouth.

I will be ecstatic if I’m wrong mate but have a bad feeling about this one

Not sure what the answer is, don’t think a back 3 is the answer, possibly matching their 433 may help but that would mean sacrificing CHO or Elanga for Anderson and possibly playing MGW as a wide forward which isn’t his best position.
Whichever dont think repeating what failed last time is the best move.

I don’t know what the solution is, but I suggested Anderson and Dominguez, not Dominguez and Yates. I just think Domingues and Yates should be ahead of Danilo in the pecking order for this particular match (I might just not have made that clear), and agree we need to avoid what didn’t work before.

Defensively Newcastle have been poor in recent weeks too. Not just us. It will be an open game for sure.

Newcastle players have got more than half an eye on the Cup final in a few weeks.
their form dropped off a cliff before the league cup final a couple of years ago.

We can take this if we keep Isak under wraps.

That is a big if though.

We need Cho and Elanga playing, this is when we appear to be most effective. The opposition defence having to concentrate on both wings allows us to play. When we play with only 1 of those two then the opposition appears able to handle that and pressure us.

I would go with :

Sels
Aina, Milenkovic, Murillo, Williams,
Yates, Anderson
Cho, MGW, Elanga,
Wood

For sure not a game to start Danilo, he gave the ball away far too much at Fulham. Moreno for Williams will sure up the left side as compared to the last meeting.

Yatesy for this one. Shithouse the f**k out of them. Sangare could play but I would like to good old fashioned naughty schoolboy stuff from our Ryan.

And Yes CHO and Elanga for the counter.

Chicago: Hoping for the best.

Joelinton absolutely mullered us when we played them last time, he was definitely the catalyst and he's out I think. Much more confident now...

Agree with those suggesting going back to a back 4 with both CHO and Elanga.

Not sure Ryan or Domingues are in Nuno’s good books !

It’s all about getting the ball to MGW, CHO and Elanga early. That’s not Ryan’s strength.

Let’s see what he does

Yes Ryan seems to be on the naughty list since Bournmouth. Nuno needs to give him another chance. His job is to break up play and then give it to someone who can pass the ball forwards quickly. Danilo is a great passer but cannot tackle for toffee at the moment.

Chicago: Telling it like it is.

I would suggest a team of
Sels
Aina Milenkovic Murillo Williams
Anderson Domingues
Cho MGW Elanga
Wood
At this present time I would say this is our best starting 11
