Reading some posts on here reminds me why I hate people so much.

Glasner's going to find out pretty quickly that the tolerance levels for poor results at this club are much lower than at the likes of clubs like Palace.

Lose on Saturday (with a similar formation and poor performance), which is the probable scenario imo, and then not get a win at home to Spurs the week after and he's bang in the danger zone both with fans and the owner.

Surely this formation suits playing away at the top sides?

Also, we played fine on Saturday, not great but also not terrible (last night was different). This is all a massive overreaction, we don't want to be talking about the danger zone after 4 days of being the manager ffs. We don't want to keep sacking managers, that isn't how you finish above 17th. 

Insane to even be insinuating the manager being under pressure, this is how you end up with 4 sackings in a year.

Wassy, no one's saying we need to sack the manager. We're all just debating where we are at the moment. I've expressed the opinion that I'm disappointed that the system doesn't seem to be working, as it's taking away from the positives I think our team has. Hopefully there'll be new positives to come, but we cant see these yet.

And whether you like it being said or not, no way will our fan base and our owner give Glasner 10 games to get his first 3 points. That's just not going to wash here.

I believe its too early to even express an opinion on this system.....I mean two games....come on...

Glasner claimed he doesnt always play 5 at the back. Then plays 5 at the back.

I hate 3 at the back and it has never worked at Forest. Jerkan anyone? Its boring to watch. Lets face it. He is boring too

I can see what's going to happen. Sacked by Feb and Nuno comes back and all is forgiven.

We did and thats a fair come back. Cooper played it slightly differently exploiting the pace of Johnson and Spence on the right which would be a good combo in the PL now. We offered very little on the left side that year Jack Colback mainly tucking into midfield.
Also worth pointing out in our second PL season playing a back 3 was used as a stick to beat Cooper with, many on here accusing him of being too defensive.

I don’t think anyone is being unreasonable on here, its a football discussion forum and people are saying what they think, unlike on X without resorting to personal insults.

It was a very disjointed performance last night, we had a reasonable if pedestrian performance on Saturday. The comments about the 3421 possibly suiting playing away at top teams is also valid. We will see if it holds water vs Liverpool. Im expecting a loss there and fine if that happens because they remain a top top team. However I do want to see a performance where we have a game plan, compete and a team that looks connected.

You are suggesting if we don't win either of these games he will be in trouble, is that not what Danger Zone means? 

I'm saying stuff like this is exactly how we end up with changing manager repeatedly. The fans opinion on manager's definitely gets listened to under this regime.

Yes, I am suggesting that if that unfortunate scenario were to occur the fans would be up in arms and there'd be an elevated level of hysteria about the team's inability to deliver Glasner's system. He'd be in the 'danger zone' because he will be seen as being responsible for taking the side to that point, and dismantling the last coach's progress, who had us pretty much back comfortable in terms of results and performances. We've both been Forest fans for long enough to know that the fan base has little to no patience. It's naïve to think that fans are going to politely clap and cheer the side along if we lose that Spurs game, having not picked up any points prior.

And I refuse to accept that EM bows to the opinion of the fans. Players yes (apparently), but not fan unrest. He knows if the fans are booing then there's somerhing wrong, and he's seeing the same thing. That's why Ange was sacked in the tunnel that night.

Palace fan in peace. Have posted a couple of times on here.

With Glasner I think you will go through these phases, and we had several at Palace, where you go unbeaten for a decent stretch but equally don't win. Think from memory after Glasner arrived mid way through the season we won the first game, then had a bad run and finished the season with a very good run of form that coincided with the likes of Eze and Olise recovering from injury.

But, as a couple of others have said, I can't see a 10-12 match winless run being tolerated by Forest. But once your players have got used to his system you should pick up decent results. You've got a very decent squad of players after all.

Do though watch out for the lack of a plan B with Glasner.

The way he spoke about Zach almost brought a tear to my eye.

Oliver also said that he was very very pleased with the transfer window and the squad now is exactly how he wanted it.

So it doesn't matter what the meltdown brigade think.

What matters is what Oliver thinks and he is very happy.

Was having a think even with wing backs are we a narrow team, I’ve seen it suggested we are so looked up who has the widest pitches to see whether there’s anywhere we might struggle guess who’s top of the list…

Selhurst is at the bottom and is seen as quite narrow in comparison, I’m sure it would have been changed if needed maybe it shows how OG may adapt as the season goes on

We’ve historically had the widest pitch or thereabouts as long as I can remember.
