Downing said at boro that he never saw such unhappy dressing room as he did under karanka.

I hope the same wont happen here. 6 weeks until first game. matty cash has been training throughout the summer.

I hope they've all been training hard through the summer. Players are athletes these days, they just can't turn up half a stone over weight anymore.

He’s not the only one - and I know that for certain.

It couldn't have been that bad, he got them promoted.

Sounds a bit like sour grapes from Downing.
Panic on the streets of Croydon, Derby, Sheffield, Leicestershire.

I'm not talking Forest specific here but this transfer window is going to be an absolute mess, if its not normally bad enough when its WC year this time round we have an a window that closes near enough 4 weeks early

For the best will in the world no club is going to get what they want done as there is so much reliance on movements at other clubs and lets be right the agents will be over this like a rash, they will be loving life, think of the panic in the last week of August and that's having played a game or 5 from this time next month to the close of the window I reckon there'll be absolute carnage

I think the the PL is going to regret this they are going to be forced into some pretty big decisions regarding their youngsters and fringe players very early in the normal pre-season cycle I can see a lot of players not getting the loan moves they want as the Prem clubs air on the side of caution

I agree with that Turkish. Cannot believe EFL clubs agreed to same rules especially as our season kicks
Off before the premier league. Also think premier league will not see any benefits. We Can get loans after and perhaps it’s then we can fine tune squad with a few loans

As for where we are now, things started bubbling yesterday with a new ( promising and exciting) name but now only 3 days to start of pre season and no signings this week and no really sound of the new striker to spearhead our promotion charge.

Also left and right backs. Max Clark looks like going abroad OR I wondered if this was a ploy as if he goes abroad Hull won’t get any compensation, so a few media reports he is going to play abroad then may help the negotiations. But if he is moving to another club I am personally not bothered as Clark wasn’t a player that interested me at all.

So are we in for a busy day??

Hopefully. A friend on Twitter reckons we could get a couple in today. However, I know he doesn't really have info himself - he just gets it from other people - so I can't vouch for the accuracy of that.

Would be a nice end to the week if we could get a few over the line today ready for monday pre-season.

That’s what Karanka has repeatedly stressed that’s what he wants to be the case!

At the end of a season a manager will always come out and say that we want to get new signings in before we return back for pre-season training.

In reality though, it very rarely happens unfortunately.

Never does.

We've got four in so far (counting the permanent signing of Figueredo). *If* we land one or two today that'd be five or six, which would be around or just over half of the eight to ten we allegedly want. Not bad going if it pans out like that, but still plenty to be done.
