With him being another European I'm worried that the Vukavic deal has gone cold. I was ready to splash out on a shirt.
There's a limit to what we can play in a match day squad and it must be getting quite near the full sign.

What is the maximum. The last I knew it was 5 LOAN players, has it changed?

If they are European Citizens for example Portugal then it doesn't matter does it?

There is no limit of Foreign players.

Max number of loans in a Matchday squad is 5

Need to get the vukcevic deal over the line before anyone else comes in. He would be a big big signing.

Yeah but you need 7 home grown in the match day squad

Might be why Eric had to go

Cant understand why all this excitement for this player...comments from the Fiorentina fans are pretty negative...if he was that good Fiorentina would have kept him and not let him go a year earlier...he sounds like another Dumitru...still remember the fuss some made upon his signing..what followed was the comedy of the season...

Replied on the other thread before you deleted, so I shall delete that and repost it here  :)

I'd say there's a bit of a difference between Dias and Dumitru personally. Dumitru had been going on loan to teams in Serie D before we signed him. Dias went on loan from Monaco (who have a great record with signing youngsters) to Fiorentina a top side in Italy and actually made 30 appearances for them in 1 season, far more than Dumitru managed for Fiorentina in 7 years.

Dias is also just 21 so lack of consistency can be expected, Dumitru was 25 when we signed him? You'd expect some consistency by that age.

We also have a lot better depth in that position now than we did when Dumitru was here so if Dias has an off game or two it isn't a problem, he drops to the bench and there are 2 or 3 players who are good quality that can come in.

Dawson, Lolley, Worrall, Fox, Watson, Cash, Brereton, Bridcutt, Osborn, Darikwa (have I missed any?) + any English players we might buy, so 7 of these and 11 foreigners and we are fine.
