So, who trusts MON to spend the wonga in the summer and build a promotion winning team for next season?

Not in the slightest. I keep seeing people go on about stability, how is ripping squads up every 6-12 months in anyway stable? Get a manager more suited to getting the best out of the key players we spent a lot of money on over the last 12-18 months: Carvalho, Lolley and Grabban, not one of them has flourished under MON and not one of them fits his style, so he gets rid of them and spends £20m on his idea of a "football" team and then what happens when he's failing next season? Sacked again and probably for a manager who likes technical players, because you know Marinakis is likely to go for that type of head coach/ manager next time. We can't keep letting managers change the style of the team to the extreme. We have a good basis for a team who passes and keeps the ball, keep working towards that, that's how we achieve stability, not by handing Martin O'Neill a 12 month contract and a licence to rip the squad to bits.

Yes I agree with this completely and if we keep MON this is exactly what’ll happen. With FFP we can’t afford to rebuild the team and make massive losses on carvalho and grabban. The way to succeed next season is to bring in 4/5 quality additions to complement what we have

I'd give Byram another loan if he manages to play out this season unscathed, try and keep Colback and then go for strong competition at LB, a powerful, all action ball playing midfielder (a younger Guedioura) to go along Colback (Yacob covering), first choice winger on the opposite side to Lolley, backup attacking mid to Carvalho (preferably one with an eye for goal off the bench) and a new 'big man' to replace Murphy and challenge Grabban.
