Reading twitter and our fanbase is split and it's getting 'political' and silly.
The older fans seem to favour MON as manager and also support the launch of the miracle men clothing range in the club shop.
Then you have younger fans who don't want to embrace our history, don't want MON as manager and don't want anything to do with the miracle men clothing range.
Personally I watched my team win two European cups back to back, and I’ll go on about it as long as I breath and I will embrace it forever.

I'm all for embracing and celebrating our history - for a club of our size it's unique - certainly in our country anyway. However, I must admit that I think they're going a little bit over-the-top with the fan park replaying the first European Cup win and the clothing range. As a 50th anniversary celebration I'd have no problem with it, but for 40th it just feels a bit much for me. That's just my opinion.
I've seen it suggested that it's being done to make up for the lack of any real celebration of our 150th Anniversary, which justifies it more I suppose, and I'm certainly not going to berate the club on social media for doing it. But for me it just feels a bit too much.

I must admit I was surprised by the clothing range, seemed to be stretching it a bit. I’d guess the odds of the players still being around drop significantly between a 40 year anniversary and a 50 year one, if that has any bearing on celebrations.
Either way, I’d guess that some people are fed up of hearing about the past because the present has been so bad for sooooo long. If we were competitive in the Premier League and putting in good cup runs I’d expect there would be less grumbling about it.

I’m 30 so missed all that, I’ve no problem celebrating the success, anything that raises the profile is a good thing. However I’d hope it’s being done in a way to maximise our chances of creating some modern memories to celebrate!

Do you know what? Those players along with BC and PT put us on the map. They didn’t get the riches our current second division under performers get and if they can make a few bob on the back of their success and the club is helping with this then who are we to argue?

I agree Ozzy, without them we would just be another football team like Barnsley, QPR, Millwall etc.
They made us the club that we are today. A big club with a proud history.
It's not right for MON to be beaten with the 'he's a Forest Legend and that is why he got the job and that is the only reason some people don't want to to be sacked' etc etc.

I can't get my head around the fact that part of our own fanbase appear to be against our history, but they are. Bizarre.
It seem to coincide with MONS arrival at the club.

I have read some of the posts on twitter where folks are isulting MON just because he is one of the miracle men.
If some folks don't like our history or don't like the fact that we have won the European Cup twice then please f**k off and 'support' someone else.

The club are really promoting the Miracle Men, they're not going to sack one of them. How would that look?

I am glad to see it because things took a turn for the worse at one point a few months ago, I remember putting it on here. Looks like it's all been sorted now and the Miracle Men and the club/owners are getting along nicely again.
MON was over in Greece for a few days with the big man, they seem to have a really good relationship.
