I was wondering what was holding the planning application up. I guess it's the negotiations re the lease.

They need to get their finger out if they're hoping to start work next spring.

Planning application is not due to be submitted until the end of next month, and subject to approval, work will begin next summer

it's my guess that the initial plans have been put to Rushcliffe  Council and they are either sitting on them or have returned them wanting more information or wanting certain details removed/added/ elaborated on etc, or they are awaiting reports from the Fire, Police, Environment Agency, Wildlife Trust, Civic Trust etc before they can proceed to the next stage, which would be to publicise the Planning Application

If planning has gone in and has been validated then The information would be available via the planning portal. I don’t think it will have been submitted yet as they will most probably be going through process of planning discussions and costing exercise of the current proposals. Just a guess.

Dave, any more you can say on the progress of the planning app? Surely it's getting tight now for a spring start? There's the planning (12 weeks determination period then likely planning committee(?)), plus prep of tender docs and contractor tendering (or negotiating), plus detailed technical design.

My suggestion is for away fans capacity to increase (which it will have to) by giving them U1 and U2 as well as existing W1 and 2 and X1 . This creates an away corner, meets league requirement for away fans to be next to pitch but maintains Forest fans in LB and behind the goal. Crucially it should satisfy police safety and segregation concerns as all would be in secure area and exit to the coach park as now where they can be contained if necessary. I hope we dont go back to the old way of giving away fans the whole LB, gives them a huge advantage.

I've asked for better facilities for bikes and for buses to run from the park and ride sites to the CG on match days. Lady Bay bridge is especially dangerous after games and so anything that reduces congestion would help.

I would prefer it if we took back ALL of the LB. That stand has amazing acoustics due to the low roof. We should not be giving away teams any advantage by letting their fans sound louder than  they actually are. For me, I would give them the 4 sections of the BS stand next to the Bridgford end (upper and lower) with better segregation methods, so that we do not lose too many seats by using the tarpaulin

I agree with Tricky. We should take back the whole of the Bridgford End. I don't believe all that codswallop that it can't be done for whatever reason, they used to say that the Main Stand couldn't be done also.
