I like his straightforward and honest manner as well as the fact that he remains unruffled. I think that the players trust him and his skills and show it on the pitch.

Well he seems to be enjoying himself so hopefully he wants to stay and the club wants to keep him and something will get sorted in the not too distant future.

I have a slight niggling worry that if we do not get promoted, irrespective of league position, EM will pull the trigger. My bigger worry is if we DO get promoted, will EM still pull the trigger if favour of a big name Charlie who is experienced in Premier League football because then EM will be wanting us to compete for a European spot?
That could explain why Sabri has only been given a 12 month contract and why his family have stayed in France?

We could be doing great, sitting at the top of the table but what happens then when struggling teams in the PL start sacking managers? We could lose him to someone else. Also big clubs in France will come knocking if we are flying high. Why gamble on losing him? If he signs a new contract and we struggle then at least the decision to stick or twist would be in our hands.

He might not want to sign a contract. If we're still doing well at Christmas and the club have suggested they'll back him in the Jan transfer window, he may feel he'll be in a better negotiating position in the summer.

True, it's a difficult one. Personally I think we have finally got ourselves a good manager, I would hate to lose him now (No suggestion of that yet).

Just our luck though that the manager we give a 1 year contract to is the guy that's successful.
