Opposition Fans Comments
A few post match comments from the Brentford fans:

Forest are a good side but the match was there for us to get a result today, Raya had little to do.

Thought overall it was a pretty average match between two average sides, apart from the goal can’t think of either keeper having a save to make.

Forest were very well drilled and organised, sat back, letting us have the bal...looking to capitalise on mistakes which they did unfortunately.

We are horrible to watch now. And I can only blame one man.

Boris Johnson?

Thought Forest were probably the best team we have played this year, certainly the best Forest team that we’ve played in the last few seasons.

Nottingham is still a great away day and the company before football was Premier League quality.

Just missed out on soiling my pants on the train home. Away support appalling, very morgue like in lower section are you there to support the team.

Our away support is lifeless and I don’t know why. You used to be able to take pride in it but these days it’s embarrassing.

2 bang average teams not going anywhere this season. gutted but we did nothing - forest keeper never made a save.

Their manager said it was Forest’s best performance of the season.

You think they deserve their position??? as i say two poor teams today.

They nicked it 1-0 and IMO that’s a sign of a side who will probably be up there this season. I don’t think they looked as good as Leeds though.

I did like their song about the City Ground, particularly as we don’t have one about Griffin Park. I did think perhaps we should nick theirs, but..

Forest well organised but not too pretty on the eye - defenders lumping ball forward cynically on several occasions.

Frustrating at the end as 0-0 would have felt like a well earned point. Two fairly evenly matched teams. Forest seemed to me to carry a bit more intent on the break but neither team carried a huge amount of threat. Once ahead Forest managed the game competently. Thought they were better organised than in previous years.

Thanks Duncan, the opposition fans are always a good read and rather comical at times. The Brentford fans don't seem to understand what makes a 'good team'.

I struggle to disagree with that barring the view that we are bang average and the statement that Samba didn’t have a save to make, his reaction to keep out their free kick was world class.

Plus the comments that it was TWO poor teams and that we NICKED it 1-0.

To be fair, even our own fans haven’t given us a lot of praise, performances seem to have particularly been a point of focus recently.

I kinda hope opposition fans and teams keep thinking we're nothing special. Right up until the point that we beat them.

A few 'cold light of day' Wigan fans comments:

Spot on KDZ - the initial struggles of Stoke and Hudds (both of whom will easily get out) has falsely inflated our league position to the benefit only of our failing manager.
Bottom 3 by Weds - it's a good bet

Either way, as you say, our position is artificially high at the moment. We're actually well above where we deserve to be based on the quality of our football: that's the worst part. We're in dire straits and it looks like the board are burying their heads in the sand.

Not surprised Boro are down there, they looked absolutely diabolical against us. But of course we gifted them three points on a plate. Fulham have been bang average and we didn’t get a shot on target against them. Got battered by relegated in waiting Barnsley. It’ll be the same again on Wednesday. Derby have had a car crash of a season so far (quite literally), but no need to panic as Santa’s favourite football club come rolling into town with three points gift wrapped with bow an all.

Our 'style of play' (I use the term loosely) is awful and the formation and 'tactics' (again, used loosely) are mismatched with it. The team selection is another complete mystery. Does Cook just draw names out of a hat? Where is Bright Enobakhare? Where's Dujon Sterling? Joffy getting a couple of minutes at the end occasionally, Macleod rarely seen... Those are good players who could bring some creativity and intensity and spark to our game. That's probably why he won't pick them.

So they're optimistic, then?

I have been really busy today. I would have thought that someone could have done the Wigan's fans comments or do I have to do them every week?

Some posst match comments from the Wigan fans (It's really not difficult).

2-0 would have been a fair reflection.

Good result against a form team and lots of positives.

Had a couple of friends in the Forest end moaning about them making 5 changes.

The ballboys were mom for me, they knew how to slow the game down and take the sting out of the Forest attacks.
I reckon they could shoot better than Forest too!

Don't get to giddy forest were poorer than thay have been for a long time.

Ben Watson looks like he has lost what pace he may have had. Some nice passes at times to the wings, but thankfully missed an easy chance on goal. Thought his limp attempt at a tackle allowed Lowe to score too.

Sammy Ameobi ... hahaahahahahaha bloody awful and should still be playing for Bolton.

Ameobi was an absolute joke.

Got to give their keeper some credit for keeping the score down.

If you'd have asked me to name the possible strongest Forest 11 I think up to 8 of them were missing from the starting line up today. Some of them were injuries like Semedo, Darikwa, Dawson, Sow but Grabban, Carvalho, Adamoah and Silva all on the bench as well - I can only assume they were so over confident that they felt they they could save some of the big guns for their mid week game.

Can we just point out that Forest brought on a sub who they paid 13 million for this is what were up against in this league

Thought Forest were poor, looked an average mid table side.
