I’m pretty sure though that he confirmed fairly early that an initial 12 months deal suited him for family reasons ( they have remained in France ).
He did.

For me the initial deal doesn't matter. It's extending the deal that matters.

For anyone who subscribes to The Athletic, Tails has published a brilliant interview with Lamouchi today.

He is proving to a perfect fit for this club, we need to nail him down to an extension, we have finally found a manager that is improving the club each week.

Talking about a contract extension is indeed a pleasant change. The first few managerial sackings of the season are starting to happen, Barnsley, Sunderland, there will be more. We will have a blip in results at some point guaranteed but I think we have finally stumbled upon a manager we need to stick with. If we start next season with Sabri in charge, whichever league we are in we will be in a much better place.

My view on Lamouchi is as follows: Add to dictionary.
Points per game.
1 Lamouchi 2,00
2 Clough 1,65
3 Davies (2) 1,60
4 Clark 1,56
5 Bassett 1,55
6 Davies (1) 1,55
7 O'Driscoll 1,50
8 O'Neill 1,42
9 Calderwood 1,38
10 Kinnear 1,36

Actually, the content that Paul has been publishing for The Athletic has been a world away from the articles churned out by the Post - and with the discounted subscription for early uptake it's been well worth £30 for a year.

I subscribed but never read it. I dont want to read about other sports, or other teams and so for the couple of articles that paul publishes each week, im wondering if I'll bother renewing.

The content that Taylor has been publishing at the Athletic is poles apart from the rubbish he posted at the NEP.
He made reference to the NEP only being interested in content which generated hits; there was no interest whatsoever in journalism.
The Athletic is worth the subscription for Taylor's articles alone, that is how good they have been, and it is packed full of loads of other interesting stuff; and it will be even better with Danny Taylor joining.
