MON cost 15K from Distillery in NI and Bowyer was transferred from Orient - John O Hare came with McGovern - although no fee was mentioned Forest wrote off the amount which Leeds owed on the Duncan McKenzie (No, the other one) transfer.

I think that is correct. Alf confusing MON and Bomber with not costing a penny with already being at the club before Clough arrived. Easy mistake to make.

Yes, it's mentioned in the I Believe in Miracles book I think. The fee was something like £2k or £10k, can't remember which, and one of the players said that the bonus they got for beating Liverpool in the European Cup was either double or half the amount - so they referred to the bonus as half or double a Birtles.
