What a result that was, it was more comfortable than I expected with some terrible refereeing decisions against us.
The squad is still too thin though, please give Sabri the tools to finish the job.

Copied from NFFC supporters page. Better than a match report: enjoy.
My ode to Nottingham Forest, my blessing and my curse.....
There have been many times you have upset, frustrated and quite frankly made me question my sanity....dark motorway miles sat in a quiet car, hours ahead contemplating dropped points, wrong choices and lost opportunities.....head in hands by the radio wondering why the f**k I get so excited about this football team when they always seem to let me down.....always watching other sides celebrating.....taking the glory....never our turn.....
And still we follow.....still we sing....still we dream.....for 22 long years, with only a couple of playoff semi final disappointments to show for our trouble.....
However, amongst all the anguish and soul searching, nights like tonight appear, like beautiful little surprises.....big games....dare not lose....the proverbial six pointer.....a tight affair, both sides ping it round under the floodlights, in front of a lively capacity crowd....in a stadium that will soon be just a housing estate....you’re only here for the Forest we sing as they drag an overweight peanut seller out of the ground......utter joy....
14 minutes......Forest have turned up....playing well.....ain’t no body quite like Joe Lolley....hits the ball on the edge of the box...somehow it squirms in under the bar...in front of the travelling Reds in the terrace behind.....cue mayhem.....half time comes...respite....ridiculous bee mascots take minds off the tension...15 minutes goes very quickly.....quick glance to Elland Road...Leeds imploding.....WBA at Cardiff.....all square....all good...
Second half....tight, edgy.....Joe and Fig fighting for everything, Samba cool between the sticks.....Super Bennie Watson an absolute warrior in the middle of the park....MOM no doubt....our ginger Pirlo.....everyone in blue giving it everything....still one nil....Leeds now in front, WBA toiling....spilling points like confetti.....twists and turns....
3 minutes added time....officials giving us nowt....surely a pen for Grab.....waved away....the vital second goal eludes us.....thoughts cast back to the 97th minute at Reading and 83rd at the CG.....surely not a third time.....not even Forest.....
Final whistle....utter relief.....hugging strangers....Leeds hang on, WBA keep wobbling.....now in touching distance of the top two.....Sabri clenched fists.....he hates the Leicester...he hates the Derby...Forest are magic....maybe we finally have the man who will take us up....Karanka a memory now....a new king in town....j’dore.....
The icing comes on the cake as news of a Derby equaliser being cancelled out by an OG a minute later and losing to a Luton team who haven’t won in decades....thoughts of Rooney stood in a stadium made of Mercano in the pissing rain and cold wondering what the f**k he was thinking signing that Bet32 deal.....Mel still contemplating a points deduction....as sheep were being put to the sword in a dump of a football stadium, Foxes were being chased out of Birmingham....93rd minute.....more joy.....maybe not so easy as you thought, eh Brendan.....thank you again Villa....Prutton and Goodman also fall silent.....writing us off as per boys....jog on.....
In the end, it’s three points and another round of tough games lie ahead......the next couple of days in the window are key....stick or twist....surely a twist for Wells? Freeman? Another obscure Frenchman? Down to the wire I suspect......
Wandering back to the tube, long journey back to the city of Gods...three points tucked in the pocket....staring at the league table....looks good....thoughts of St Andrews shelved for now....that’s for another day.....tonight we revel in one of those nights that remind us why we love this football club, why we follow them, why we sit by the radios and watch grainy images being streamed on our phones......why we sing for them....why that will never change whatever division they play in and whoever wears our badge.....we may not be the best team in the world, we probably never will again.....we don’t care....you’re our Forest and we’ll follow you anywhere.....
Now get me a strong coffee and a can of Monster.....?

Brentford midfielder Mathias Jensen believes a goalless draw would have been a fair result at Griffin Park on Tuesday night as he revealed his frustration at Nottingham Forest's time-wasting tactics.
Joe Lolley's "lucky" deflected effort was the difference between the two sides on a night that could prove vital in the race for Championship promotion.
Sabri Lamouchi's side fought hard to secure the narrow victory that has lifted them to third in the standings - just two points behind the automatic promotion places.
"We are, of course, disappointed about their goal. It was lucky, but we should have created more," said Bees man, Jensen, as he spoke to BrentfordFC.com.
"It was a deflection, so we felt very unlucky [at half time].
"They wasted a lot of time from the very first minute, but we should be able to avoid getting irritated by that.
"We had many chances to cross, but we lacked the quality."
The result has seen the Bees fall to fifth in the standings, three points behind the Reds and just a single point ahead of seventh places Preston North End.
But Jensen is adamant that his teammates will not feel sorry for themselves after the defeat and remains confident that his side were deserved on at least a point.
He continued: "I don't know if it was an off day. They didn't outplay us at all. It should have been 0-0.
"There are still 17 games to go. It is a marathon. We are disappointed now but tomorrow we will move on."

Funny how he failed to include all of the fouls Brentford were allowed to get away with, including a blatant penalty on Grabs in the second half and a decent shout for handball in the box in the first half. He also fails to bemoan the fact that our goal came about through shit goalkeeping and shit defending!
At the end of the day, nobody gives a flying f**k about your opinions pal, all they care about is what is now written in the history books and that is this...............Brentford FC 0, Nottingham Forest FC 1

Heh, heh... Grabban 'bumping' into their manager. And turning around, 'What the **** are you looking at?' The Coach give their moaning manager the ice cool cucumber. 'What's sup guv'? Is it cos I is olive....innit? I parp' in your general direction....you pig dog. You want some? Come get it...' Followed by some 'Your mother is so....' jokes.
Just speculation on my part. :P
