Unfortunately I can see this dragging on a while, most football grounds developments do. Tottenham first announced plans to redevelop theirs back in 2008. Spades didnt hit the ground for 7 years after that and it only opened last season. Not saying we will be that bad but I reckon to begin in the summer is optimistic at best.

My mind is turning to the renewal of season cards & the clubs plan to ‘rehouse’ PT stand card holders.
The club will surely have a plan but will need to publish this in the not too distant future - even if pricing may be dependent upon which league we find ourselves in next season.

Before they start to sell tickets they'll need a decision on the planning. Rushcliffe's determination deadline is 28th Feb but due to the large number of objections it'll undoubtedly be referred to the planning board meeting. That is scheduled for 12th March.

On a big scheme like this, by now you'd expect there to have been some discussion/negotiation between the architect and planners resulting in the provision of amended design drawings. None have yet appeared on RBC's website. And there's clearly some discussion to be had with the boat clubs, which doesn't yet seem to have happened. So looks like it's going to go to the wire to me.

I've thought for a while now it all looks a bit late in the day to me. I wouldn't be surprised if work on site starts in summer 2021 now with the club's pr machine blaming the planners or boat clubs or neighbours for delaying their project when really they don't want to proceed unless the guaranteed income from Prem money is in the bag. Understandable.

I was told that Rushcliffe BC Conservation Committee have no objections to the Britannia Boat Club being demolished and relocated.

Regarding the cost of the Stand; the 250 apartments will go a considerable way to paying for the Stand which, I have also been informed, will not cost anything like the 100m figure being bandied around.

I have no idea if the Rushcliffe information is correct but the costing information looks about right.

I cannot see how the Club will stage manage the building work to coincide with us playing in the PL

City Ground sells out (or nearly does) every week in the Championship. Benefit of doing it when we are in Prem, is there are a few less games.

It is in the Clubs interests to get the work completed as quickly as possible; any delays will have a negative impact on costs.

 There was a planning meeting last night but the Forest application was not on the agenda. It'll be in a month's time unless Rushcliffe deem the application to be important enough to schedule a special meeting.

Is it a little odd that these are going ahead with no news on redevelopment?
