If recruitment had given him more than a load of pub league players to work with we'd have been fine.

None of the new signings would get into any other top 6 side. Bong was woeful.

Controversial perhaps, but I would rather play my best side and run the risk of an injury now rather than drop out of the top six or miss out on the top two by the end of the season. 

Players do need managing and we are not party to what goes on behind closed doors, but we may get lucky and get through to the end of the season avoiding a major injury. Sow is the obvious player for us. He plays, we win.

Sabri has also been sold down the river with the poor quality of the signings in January (though I thought that Diarkby showed some promising signs last night). We just do not have any depth.

You said yourself different players need different management. Sabri might have said, go home, spend a few days with your families. He has mentioned the need for time off football before, if that is beneficial for results is debatable.
Whether those 3 were fit to go on the bench we will probably know when we see the team selection on Saturday.

Agree with Sniff, Sow is clearly carrying an injury. I would've 100% not played him. Similarly Sammy isn't good enough to need to be wrapped in cotton wool so assume he was genuinely injured. Grabban had a lot of injuries last year, if he's not fit rest him.

I doubt it. The fullbacks are hugely influential on the way we play. I doubt we'd be where we are if Cash hadn't been performing like he has of late.

Did you??? My view is he's never going to be sucessful with us. They guy is rapid but cant stay on his feet. Cant pass it, cant control the ball and cant tackle. We were'nt using his pace as a threat, ie pushing him up and challenging the full back to a race so in effect he contributed next to nothing. In his defence I do think his body language looks casual so people think he has a casual attitude. I hope to be proved wrong. Maybe Sabri can mould him into something but I doubt we'll be taking up the £6m option on him in the summer. His value is £1m tops in my opinion.

For me it was his off the ball work and positioning that was particularly bad. Regularly was just not in the right position, too central plus wasnt moving when he wasnt near the ball, way too static.

If he is having to manage injuries then the club have really messed up in the transfer window, however resting a few players is understandable but 5 changes in such an important game is not good, there are no easy matches every game is a playoff game now, the manager must play the best team AVAILABLE to him.

To be fair Redgirl Sabri was referring to the full backs. He didn't have to change them but he did for whatever reason and he put his hand up. He wasn't referring to Grabban, Sow and Ameobi who he said had injuries (hence they were not on the bench).

Yes that’s why I said available players. Every game is so important it frustrates me when every single forest fan knew we wouldn’t win with that team, so if the fans could see it why couldn’t the coach.

Time and time again Forest do this.

I have the greatest respect for Sabri, we certainly wouldn’t be where we are without him, he’s the best manager we have had for years but to put that team out and expect to win was either very arrogant or very naive, I don’t think Sabri is either so I really don’t know where is head was at in picking it.

If we were mid table with nothing to play for I could understand it, but to be playing for top two well I’m baffled.

Anyway I’m going to stop winging now cos I’m even winding myself up.Hopefully Sat night it will all be forgotten and we will be celebrating !

Surely if they weren't carrying knocks and he wanted to rest them he would have had them on the bench?

I think we all know that most Championship footballers are rarely 100% fully fit once we hit the guts of the season. (Look at Lolley for first couple of months this season). I don't doubt that many of our players who played on Saturday have little niggles and maybe some are having pain killing injections to get by. So technically Sabri wasn't lieing. Do I believe 3 of our lads had niggles - yes. Do I believe that they were injured enough not to be able to at least make the bench? - no.So a smokescreen. Am I over it now? More or less, but I will know for sure at 2.30 on Saturday

If I am travelling back with 3 defeats in 4, then I will be pi$$ed off all over again. If we draw or even win I will have got over it completely....
