Nottingham Forest Academy And Under 21's
With respect to Marcus McGuame, when it was first confirmed we were signing him, I read that International clearance would be needed and this could take weeks, seems this is the case. It appears it is the paperwork from Barca that is holding things up, and living in Spain, I know how long things can take over here.

Hope he has better luck with injuries from now on.

I remember he was supposed to be a bit of a wonder kid when we first signed him from Southend. No doubt his injuries have hampered his progress.

Some will know better than me but apart from Mighten and Johnson don't think anyone else is close are they?

It will of course depend on which division we are in next season.

In addition to Mighten and Johnson; Gabriel and Will Swan are out on loan as are Fornah and Richardson all are supposedly highly thought; then there are the new youngsters just signed; Sadler, Galliani and Larsson, with McGuane to follow when he gets his international clearance.

There is a lot of succession planning going on

Absolutely JCK. Some fantastic work is being done no doubt about that.

I know we hear this sort of thing all the time, but Larsson was being compared to Alexandre Isak and he is a not a bad player to be compared with. Paul Taylor also saying McGuame in next week or two.

I do love the fact looking around Europe and home to enhance our u23 and excited to see how the newcomers get on with their journey with us. We do have some players out on loan as well doing well. which is good to see

Its a good approach when not CAT 1.

I can imagine Mighten, Johnson and Gabriel may consider loan moves next year, but of course at same time could be knocking on the first team door, but do love to see them get a run of first team football somewhere to really push them on.

A few have gone out like Edser in past who havent really progressed as hoped, but it is something we should look at.

And seeing CLough playing for U23 is crazy, he should consider getting a loan deal in the National LEague and start building up his reputation. HEfele could even look to do the same to get some games under their belt and put themselves in the shop window for the Summer.
Everyone is entitled to my opinion - COYR  :)

They’re learning ( at last )!
Though it was never planned to play at the Academy - and so I’m not disappointed on this occasion.
