Play Offs 2020

You could get plays offs done in 2 week max. If this season is to finish it will be rapid anyway. 2 games a week g so five weeks to finish season and while European and Cup competitions complete that is when you fit in the playoffs. None of this benefits us by the way as I can't see squad coping but then few probably will.

Ultimately there is no way we are playing in April or May - this will be the peak across UK and europe. Likelihood we will play through the summer months with 2020 euros cancelled until 2021 - July and August more likely. New season being pushed back until late september/early October.

Obviously this throws up issue of out of contract players but they have time to sort that out - how, I do not know.

There will also be a way that they work all this around the 2022 winter world Cup.

Obviously, the whole thing is pure speculation and if this virus does untold damage for months then who knows what the future holds

If they were to make the season null and void tomorrow knowing Liverpool don't win the Prem and Leeds don't go up I'll go along with that.

I think this is effectively what has happened in Germany albeit top four rather than three, they have set a precedent.

The issue in England won’t be promotion, it will be the relegation from the Premiership. I imagine there will be threats of legal action if anyone gets relegated without completing a full season.

Can’t see any of that happening.

Let’s start a campaign for deciding the Championship through the results of games between the top 6 only.
Wholly sensible.
I wonder which teams would be promoted as a result?
PS any of these games as yet unplayed to be completed - wouldn’t take long.
PL here we come.

That is an idea I could very much get behind.

I suggested that to my Fulham supporting mate, he didn’t seem keen on the idea for some reason.

I think the season will be called null and void, we start again in August which I believe will be to Forests advantage as we will be at better team then

If the season is curtailed / abandoned the EFL will need to make some decisions re the significant adjustment of FFP ie increase the £39m 3 year losses to compensate for lost income this season.

Bloody Hell, Leds and West Brom would be straight to the courts if that happened.

We have a 1 in 4 chance of going up. Why would you want to give up the chance?
